The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)

**Job Description**
The Vice President, Ireland Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for overseeing stage commercialization, manufacturing, test and release of Gilead products for international markets. The VP will provide leadership to an organization responsible for Manufacturing, Packaging, Analytical Test and Release, Engineering, Supply Chain, Drug product Scaleup and Commercialization of commercial products at the Cork Manufacturing site and clinical manufacturing of drug candidates at the Cork facility. The VP is the primary legal representative as a director and chairman of Gilead Sciences Ireland UC and is responsible for providing cross functional leadership as the Site Lead for the Cork Manufacturing Plant.
As the leader of Ireland Manufacturing Operations, this position is accountable for advancing Gilead's commercial product portfolio for international markets. This role is site based and located at the facility in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. Some international business travel, including to the United States will be required. In addition, the VP will be a member of the PDM Manufacturing Leadership Team.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide leadership and direction to the Ireland Manufacturing Operations organization; Lead the cross- functional Ireland Manufacturing Operations Leadership team in the development of medium and long-term strategic plans and leads the management team in the execution of operational plans.

**Qualifications:**
+ BA or BSc degree in Business or Science and minimum 14 years of relevant experience in related field. Alternately, an MSc/MA or MBA degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
+ Experience leading commercial drug product manufacturing operations consisting of representatives from multiple functions such as solid oral dose manufacturing and packaging, supply chain, logistics and distribution, Formulation/Drug Product Process Development, and Analytical Operations including Quality Control.
+ Experience supporting multiple regulatory filings and supporting product-related inspections for regulatoryagencies, with special emphasis on the US, EU, Japanese agencies.
+ Experience developing, implementing and executing strategic plans and objectives for organizations and departments.
+ Experience working with external manufacturing and testingorganizations.
+ In-depth understanding of ICH guidelines and GMP requirements for development and manufacturing of biologics

**Team / Role Overview**
This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a team of AML subject matter experts to provide the highest standard of client service to clients based in multiple jurisdictions. The AML and registration team collaborates daily with teams across the Transfer Agency Department and so provides an opportunity to develop broader knowledge.
**What you will do**
+ Manage a team of AML and Registration subject matter experts in a busy deadline driven operational environment; monitor resourcing and ensure effective allocation of tasks
+ Manage the daily volumes of investor account opening, static data changes, periodic reviews and queries from internal stakeholders and clients
+ Assist the AML manager in the review of changes to AML regulations and in implementing policies and practices that ensure compliance
+ Coordinate training of the team and track progress on the skills matrix
+ Oversee and implement effective AML reviews ensuring they align with strategic goals and objectives regarding products and services, organizational structures and existing capabilities
+ Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and outsourced service providers; manage due diligence visits from clients and fund MLROs
+ Contribute as an AML SME to departmental initiatives driven by client request and/or process efficiency

**What we will need from you**
+ Experience in AML, preferably in a Transfer Agency role

The Role of Designated Persons ("DPs") in BlackRock Asset Management Ireland Limited ("BAMIL")
Managing investment schemes approved by the Central Bank of Ireland, the Company operates as a UCITS management company and AIFM.
The purpose of the role is to supervise and lead all aspects of the ongoing performance of BAMIL's Operational Risk Management function. The DP for Operational Risk Management (ORM), supported by the local risk function, is responsible for all aspects of operational risk, including error investigation and resolution, new product and business change risk assessments, risk reporting / analysis and the maintenance and development of the enterprise risk framework, including facilitation of risk and control self-assessments, risk profiling and risk indicators.
**Key Responsibilities:**
The senior Vice President will lead all aspects of function performance and implement risk management processes to stay within approved risk appetite.
+ Responsibility for the oversight, monitoring and control of BAMIL's Operational Risk Management Function and onward reporting to the Board and Management Committee.
+ Work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and the local risk function to craft, implement and be responsible for the company's risk management framework.
+ Responsibility for second line oversight of third party and outsourcing risk, technology risks and the management of operating events.
+ Regularly update senior management and other DPs on operational events and risks.
+ Coordinate with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that oversight of delegates is in line with the Board-approved Outsourcing and Operational Resiliency Frameworks.
+ Present corporate and enterprise risk analysis, including alignment with risk appetite (including Operational Risks), to the Risk and Management Committees.
+ The role is subject to the Fitness & Probity Regime and the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF).
**Requirements of the Role**
+ Minimum 10 years' proven experience required.
+ Understanding of enterprise risk management regulations (e.g., Central Bank of Ireland, UCITS and AIFMD) and adapting risk framework to meet evolving regulations.
+ Demonstrable knowledge and track record in the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks.
+ Developed risk scenarios, coordinated events, remediated controls, and applied risk indicators for risk management.
- Excellent technical and regulatory knowledge - Risk Qualification or equivalent.
+ Leadership and strength of character to offer healthy challenge is essential.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience working with regulators and Board of Directors, and prior Designated Person experience beneficial.
