Hours: Part time, 18.75 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: €30,731 - €38,833
Job Closing Date: 5.00pm, Friday 7th November
Summary of the role:
The CNSp practice will include a major clinical focus, which comprises of assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care given to children and their families. As a member of the -inter- disciplinary team he/she will work collaboratively with other members of the team to provide the highest standard of specialist palliative nursing care to children with life limiting conditions/ palliative care needs. He/she will participate in children's palliative care research and audit and act as a consultant in education and clinical practice to nursing colleagues and the wider inter disciplinary team. He/she will facilitate and support teams to implement evidenced based practice and will contribute to the continuing development of Children's Palliative care in Lauralynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice.

Hold current Registration in the Children's Division of the Register of Nurses held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Have acquired a post registration level 9 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework of Ireland (major award) or the equivalent, in Palliative Care
Have a minimum of 1 years post registration experience and a minimum of 1 years specialist area experience of working with children with life limiting conditions/palliative care needs
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the role of the CNS
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
Ability to make high level clinical and leadership decisions
Ability to work within an inter disciplinary team
