Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and manage root cause investigations, ensuring timely and effective NCR and  CAPA implementation.

• Assist the QA Manager with the  day-to-day QMS management, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and all relevant regulatory requirements.

• Conduct and support internal audits, driving ongoing compliance and quality improvements.

• Support and oversee validation activities, including process validations, test method validations, and risk assessments.

• Provide hands-on quality support for manufacturing, ensuring product compliance and process control.

• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and work instructions to drive quality initiatives and support operations.

• Act as a key contact for customer quality concerns, complaints, and regulatory inquiries, leading investigations where required.

• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and product quality.

• Mentor and support junior quality team members, contributing to a culture of learning and professional growth.

• Assist in supplier quality management, ensuring robust quality agreements and ongoing compliance.

• Own and manage the PM/Calibration schedule.

• Assist with the development of other quality personnel as required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Life Sciences, or a related discipline

• 5+ years’ experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment

• Proven experience with root cause analysis, CAPA management, and failure investigations

• Training in ISO 13485 internal auditing (lead auditor certification preferred but not essential)

• Strong understanding of quality engineering tools and principles such as FMEA, SPC, risk management, and validation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software

We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Engineer to join our QA Team. The role is based from Cork servicing the needs of our client.  The role will report to the Software Project Manager.

The successful candidate will work with the development team in building and executing comprehensive suites of test plans and test cases and will have a minimum of 4 years’ commercial experience.

·    Develop and execute test plans and test cases to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation

·    Add to our company’s testing efforts and improve the test frameworks, tools and technologies

·    Contribute and evolve high quality automated test solutions for functional, regression and performance testing

·    Knowledge transfer and cross train other team members to enhance the teams automation capabilities

·    Develop an understanding of client business terminology practice and procedures within a reasonable timeframe

·    Provide input as per best practice (estimating, designing, developing and executing test procedures and test cases)

·    Work closely with the Development team on a daily basis

·    Liaise with Product Owners/Business Analysts/Business Users if requirements are unclear

·    Execute Test plans and Regression Test plans within agreed timescales and standards

·    Test complex areas of application(s) and use business knowledge to determine if functionality is correct

·    Investigate and document defects in a defect-tracking system and verify resolution to ensure prompt closure of all defects

·    Clearly articulate and communicate testing status, and red/yellow flags, which might interfere with the achievement of QA milestones

·    Manage priorities and set expectations when faced with multiple demanding tasks

·    You may be required to perform additional duties, not listed above, to support the testing function into the future

·    Adhere to and promote internal information security policies and procedures

Technical Profile

·    Must have 4+ cumulative years of Software Test experience

·    Proven track record using Industry Standard Test Automation Tools, Visual Studio Team System (Test Edition), Selenium (WebDriver) or similar tools

·    Good Working knowledge of SQL

·    Knowledge of testing APIs and integrations required

·    Automated Testing experience advantageous

·    Knowledge of MABL, Accessibility Insights or other UI ADA tools advantageous

·    Scrum / Agile experience

·    Experience of structured testing methods and techniques

·    Working knowledge. Net advantageous

·    Strong testing background expected with experience writing test plans and test procedures

·    Experience in the use of Defect Tracking tools like Microsoft TFS, Dev Ops, HP ALM

·    Experience testing business / enterprise applications
