**Summary:**
Meta is looking for an experienced policy manager to join our Core Policy team. This role works on issues that may not be clearly defined and requires analysis of situations and conceptual thinking experience in policy, government, business operations, or law. The team's mission is to create and communicate rules for our products that empower expression and foster a safe environment for people on Meta's family of apps.You will work closely with a number of other teams at Meta, including our Operations, Product, Legal, Communications, and Public Policy teams. You will play a key role in developing, applying, and communicating our Community Standards both internally and externally. You will also manage high-profile content escalations and be a lead point of contact for policy questions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the Core Policy Team. At times, you will be expected to make difficult decisions under pressure about whether to allow or remove content.Successful candidates will be execution-minded professionals who can think strategically, adapt quickly, work independent, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They will critically analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to policies and their implementation. Candidates should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. Given the demands of content-related escalations, the candidate will be expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.

4. Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders
5. Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal
6. This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic or explicit images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing

+ Proven experience working in or with French, Swiss, Dutch, Irish, German, and EU institutions, including demonstrated ability to influence complex multi-stakeholder environments.
+ Track record of engaging with C-suite executives and cabinet-level officials on public policy matters.
+ Advanced degree in law, political science, international affairs, economics, or a related field preferred.
