With a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the US and a multi-disciplined team of over 3,700 people, we deliver complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental sectors.
Due to our on-going success securing large-scale projects in the past year, we have a requirement for Principal Civil Design Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Department in Cork.
To be successful and to enjoy the challenge of this position, the role will suit an experienced Civil Engineer with design experience who has previously lead large scale projects in the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Mission Critical sectors (TIC €100 MM) from concept to completion.
Responsibilities You will be located in the Cork office on a Hybrid working basis.
The role involves the following: Responsibilities Lead the detailed civil engineering design of pavements, underground drainage and utilities, and earthworks for site development works on large industrial projects.
Proactively coordinate with project managers, design disciplines, construction management team, contractors and Clients.
Manage the timely delivery of the civil engineering design to an excellent standard.
Carry out periodic inspections of the works on site for quality and BCAR purposes.
Contribute to the continuous development of the civil engineering department.

Masters would be an advantage.
Chartered with Engineers Ireland or similar body Minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years' experience in the detailed design of large industrial projects in the pharmaceutical, data centre or oil & gas sectors.
This includes the design of process drainage and the coordination of complex underground utilities.
Proficient with the use of Auto CAD, Civil 3 D, Micro Drainage and Auto TRACK.
Additional experience in the use of Revit would be an advantage.
Effective communicator with excellent oral and report writing skills Ability to adapt to changing scenarios Confident in creating and delivering engineering presentations to Clients Thorough understanding of civil engineering design standards Experienced in the inspection of civil engineering works on site and the completion of BCAR reports.

Due to continued success and growth across the Water division, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) Team as a Project Manager(Design Coordination).
The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland.
The Early Contractor Involvement is a new form of delivery for Water Infrastructure made up of two stages - Project Commencement Instruction (PCI) and Project Delivery Instruction (PDI).
PCI is the early design from environmental, planning and detailed design with the aim being to agree a project scope and target cost.
PDI stage is the delivery of the agreed scope to the target cost with a pain/gain share mechanism.
All with focus on safely delivering first-class projects on time, & within budget whilst maintaining a strong working relationship with the wider ECI team.
Duties of the Role include; Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects Coordination of Design activities/outputs on a variety of projects across Water or Wastewater PCI and PDI Act as the main point of contact for dealing with any issues relating to your project portfolio Work collaboratively within the ECI structure with the client, technical assurance, employers representative and operations to deliver project scope Linking with senior management to provide timely updates on the progress of design outputs/deliverables relating to each project to assess the effect to workshop dates procurement, cost, forecast and variations Commitment to be obtained from the scope performers and tracked against baseline to allow delays to be managed and opportunities to be maximised Ensuring all necessary documentation is administered via the approved systems (eg BIM 360, process workflows).
Monitor and control of the project and adherence to the project programme Management of the procurement sheet.
Identify risks to Design activities/outputs and provide notification to the client, to allow preparation of early warnings, claims, variations and final cost cap agreement Identify and manage opportunities and influence positive change and improvements in the design process and wider team.
Liaise with the project team, including Programme Manager, Designers, Drafting team and H&S Manager, to ensure that all H&S requirements are satisfied.
Collaborate with the Project Team to ensure that they are motivated and fully understand the extent and timeline for their outputs.
Required skills for this role; 5 + years relevant post qualification experience in the execution of M&E or Civil engineering projects Diploma/Degree/Masters level in a relevant Engineering discipline or appropriate experience (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical etc) Strong IT skills including MS Project Good organisational and time management skills Self motivated Strong communication skills Please note: ?If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.

A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated project management experience, ideally within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
The ability to create and clearly explain detailed proposals, schedules, objectives, and other project documentation.
Strong presentation skills to confidently deliver project updates to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, influencing, and negotiation, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
A proven track record of building trusting and collaborative relationships with mid-level management.
