The Accountant will assist in all aspects of administration of Private Equity Funds, including fund accounting and financial reporting. Principal Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery of high quality service to each of the clients assigned to their team. Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries. Ensuring agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met. Assists in the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank and CSO returns. Ensures NAV's are issued accurately and within defined timeframes. Ensures the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses. Liaises with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV. Communicates effectively with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities. Ensures that operating arrangements are clearly established on inception of a fund. Preparation & collation of reports for board packs Skills /Experience Must be a team player, customer-centric, positive attitude, enthusiasm, natural ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast - paced environment Excellent oral and written communication Excellent attention to details with accuracy and precision Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP/US GAAP and IFRS desirable Experience in the production of management accounts, with experience in debits and credits Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory / tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting. Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Private Equity Fund Administration Prioritisation and multi-tasking Strong analytical and problem solving skills Demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required. The successful candidate will lead portfolio construction work for our range of multi asset portfolios across DC, private wealth, and wealth management and encompass investment strategy advice for DB pension schemes. Mercer's Delegated Solutions Strategy team providesspecialised investment strategy advice to pension schemes primarily in the areas of dynamic de-risking, hedgingand portfolio construction. Mercer's dynamic de-risking solution aims to manage pension schemes along a path to full funding and has arisen from a need to provide a clear governance framework that will allow trustees to lock in market gains. Liability hedging forms a large part of this solution delivery, given market evolution in recent years. The Strategy team is also responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies for all our clients within the Delegated Solutions business. This includes investment strategies for a range of client types, such as pension schemes, endowments and foundations and others and encompasses analysis for Irish clients, Europe ex-UK and further afield. The role will be dynamic and diverse, requiring an individual that has a strong investment background with strong project management, leadership, organisational, collaboration and communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage the successful delivery of complex solutions, have strong technical and analytical capabilities, a keen eye for detail, and be able to use their own initiative to navigate requirements, manage to tight and competing timelines as well as undertake routine projects. We will count on you to: Lead investment strategy analysis to determine the strategic asset allocation for the full range of multi-asset portfolios allowing for different investment objectives and constraints faced by each. Analyse client investment strategies with aim of achieving target growth returns within restrictions provided. Analysis across range of client types and geographies. Complete daily monitoring of client funding levels and trading where required. Regularly calculate and propose updates to hedging strategies, working with a broad range of tools and models. Location/Office Policy: Dublin or Cork with Hybrid Working (2 days a week in the office, moving to 3 days in office from Jan 2026) Would you like to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment, dedicated to providing exceptional service? What is the Role: AIB Corporate Banking is a strategic pillar of AIB Group, supporting domestic businesses across all sectors with tailored senior debt solutions. We build long-term partnerships through deep customer relationships, expert guidance, and best-in-class service. We are currently seeking credit professionals with experience in credit analysis, cash-flow lending, and financial modelling to join our Corporate Banking team. In this role, you will contribute to the continued expansion of our business activities and the management of the existing debt portfolio. Key accountabilities; Provide tailored funding solutions and advice to corporate customers. Analyse repayment capacity and industry trends to understand customers' financial needs Deliver exceptional service across all customer channels. Engage and represent AIB in the local business community. Manage credit and operational risk effectively. What you Will Bring; A minimum of 5 years proven experience in credit assessment, financial modelling, and cashflow lending Understanding of the lending process and loan performance analysis Ability to learn on the job and utilize various systems for data analysis. Strong analytical and creative thinking skills Commitment to maintaining strong client relationships and delivering quality service. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a motivated team.
