Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Procurement Supply Chain Manager
to join our dynamic team at a leading manufacturing company based in Tipperary. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions, ensuring seamless operations and cost-effective material sourcing. You will work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, to optimize supply chain performance and ensure a smooth flow of goods from suppliers to the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the entire supply chain process, from the procurement of raw materials and components to product delivery.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals.
- Manage inventory control, logistics, and distribution to ensure minimal stockouts and optimal warehouse management.
- Continuously improve supply chain processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements and ensure that supply meets production needs.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts and manage the flow of materials to avoid stockouts, overstocking, and production delays.
Procurement Management
- Lead the sourcing and procurement of materials, goods, and services for production, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends and supplier capabilities to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Manage procurement budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers to secure favourable contracts and ensure a reliable supply of materials.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, lead times, and service levels.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure they meet the company's standards.
- Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities are in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Logistics Distribution Oversight
- Coordinate logistics activities, including inbound deliveries, warehousing, and outbound shipments.
- Optimize transportation methods and routes to minimize costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Work with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of products from suppliers to the production facility and beyond.
Continuous Improvement Process Optimization
- Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of the supply chain and procurement operations.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high levels of quality and service.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization in supply chain operations to streamline workflows.
Required Qualifications Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS, etc.) is an advantage.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and leading procurement activities.
- Proven ability to manage inventory levels and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management software.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of a robust Risk and Resiliency framework for Medtech Supply Chain Procurement and shape our strategy to reduce risk and degrees of single sourcing, improving our ability to respond to outages.
The successful candidate will be focused on understanding and mapping current processes for supplier risk assessments and mitigation planning across all MT businesses and developing an improved framework which enables the business to assess, mitigate and measure risk and resiliency in our supply chain. Working closely with our digital team to determine the maturity level of our data accuracy and building a roadmap for improvement, along with the implementation of digital tools to support the SCP Risk & Resiliency framework.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with key stakeholders and business unit leaders to assess current processes for risk assessment and mitigation, understand business needs, areas for improvement and alignment on key risk areas
+ Support the development and implementation of risk and resiliency strategies and processes across the MT SCP function in line with industry best practices
+ Work closely with the digital team to assess current status of data availability and accuracy across the Medtech businesses, identify gaps and develop roadmap to improve
+ Collaborate with Enterprise Risk and Resilience teams and leverage existing playbooks and frameworks for risk identification, mitigation planning and execution

+ Understand the needs of the MT business and develop resiliency metrics to track and measure key risk areas and improvements that align with our priorities

**Qualifications:**

What To Expect
Year 1:
Gain an understanding of the fundamentals within the broader Global Technical function. with rotations like Laboratory & Process Development Specialist, Compliance & Governance Specialist or Project Manager.
Year 2:
Broaden your experience by gaining functional diversity across Global Technical areas. Work on medium-scale projects supporting team initiatives with rotations such as Pack Specialists or Category Project Manager.
Year 3:
Develop deep functional knowledge while demonstrating breadth through projects involving multiple collaborators across Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement. Take on large-scale projects utilising business insight, with technical judgment in roles like Global Project Manager or within our futures programmes.

On the qualification side, you'll need to have acquired or be expecting to obtain an academic degree. For the Technical Graduate Programme, we are particularly interested to hear from graduates with degrees in fields such as STEM or a related discipline including Food Science, Environmental Science, and Environmental Sustainability as well as Brewing & Distilling and Project Management and expect to be graduating in 2026 or have graduated within the last 2 years. You must be proficient in English, and with opportunities across Europe you must be mobile and prepared to relocate geographically during the programme.

To assist in daily, Weekly and monthly activities supporting continued product supply to Market. Shipping documentation generation using SAP, Documentation generation, and supporting with KPI generation will be critical elements of this role. This role will give the candidate a broad overview of manufacturing and distribution operations and the critical interdepartmental responsibilities and communication to deliver business performance (Supply-Chain, Operations, Quality and Customers) in Bray.
How you will contribute :- Updating master data in SAP.
- Gathering Master Data information as required by Strategic Business Projects or to support ongoing investigations.
- Manage monthly inventory KPI generation and data gathering.
- Creation of shipping document 'packs' required for each shipment.
- Update documentation or generate new documents as required.
- Support requests for sample shipments for Initial Commercial Supply or New product launches.
- Preparation of KPI reports for Supply Chain and Planning to include:
- WIP monitoring
- Inventory Reporting DOH Analysis.

The Opportunity
Professional Supply Chain and Logistics Partner, with knowledge and experience in the end to end supply chain operations in areas such as buying, planning, scheduling, logistics analysis, warehouse operations and strategic planning. The Supply Chain & Logistics Partner should have expertise in SAP or equivalent ERP system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategizing, co-ordinating and optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring the timely procurement of materials, maintaining efficient production schedules and ensuring efficient warehouse and logistical operations are in place within a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals; contribute to strategic planning and annual budgeting for the Tralee Plant.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Select, evaluate, and manage vendors; negotiate contracts; ensure SLA compliance; foster innovation through strong supplier partnerships; manage risk and develop contingency sourcing strategies.
- Logistics & Inventory Oversight: Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, warehousing, and transport; ensure trade compliance; manage 3PL relationships; lead production scheduling and inventory planning aligned with operational needs.

Overview
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role will lead the CoE for applications across core business domains including Operations, Supply Chain and Quality & Compliance, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Supply Chain & Manufacturing Technology CoE Manager will have overall responsibility for driving innovation, standardisation, and governance across application landscapes, enabling Tirlan to deliver high-performing, scalable, and compliant solutions.

Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the roadmap for mid-office applications, aligned with Tirlan's business strategy
