Role Purpose

The Project Engineering Health & Safety Manager will ensure the safe delivery of all capital projects within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical and medical device environment. This role is responsible for leading health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives across projects, managing contractor compliance, and embedding a proactive safety culture. You will play a key role in protecting people, assets, and operations while supporting the successful execution of complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management System for capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with PSCS/PSDP requirements, regulations, and corporate HSE standards.
  • Oversee contractor safety performance and review project RAMS and safety plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews, including HAZOP, HAZID, and process safety evaluations.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training to employees and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a PSCS or similar safety leadership role within construction or engineering projects.
  • Proven experience managing safety in regulated industrial environments (pharmaceutical or biotech experience an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of PSCS/PSDP regulations and HSA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in EHS reporting systems and data-driven performance management.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Additional certifications such as IOSH, CIF PSCS Training, Manual Handling Instructor, or First Aid are advantageous.

  • Identify and communicate schedule risks, resource conflicts, and dependencies, collaborating with teams to propose solutions and corrective actions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure scope clarity, milestone alignment, and transparent reporting across readiness activities.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills — translating technical information into clear, actionable insights for multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor progress and performance, providing structured updates and metrics to governance forums and readiness leads.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining, enhancing, and implementing our products. This internship will provide valuable exposure to the field of engineering and an opportunity to develop essential skills in developing, documenting, presenting, and problem-solving.

As part of your internship, you will be working on projects to use AI within NetApp's knowledgebase system to analyze and/or classify.

Essential functions
  • Provide feedback and progress updates through via various channels, including phone and email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assist in the testing and evaluation of new product features and enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Job requirements

  • Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.

Your profile
  • You must be a current student of a bachelor's degree in one of the following technical disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related subjects like Mathematics, Physics.
  • This role is open to 3rd year students looking for a 6–8-month internship as part of their degree program.
  • You should have the unrestricted right to work in Ireland for the entire duration of the internship. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end capital projects at a local manufacturing site. This role requires full-time onsite presence and a strong background in managing automation, equipment installation, and commissioning projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle from planning through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

This position is not a technical engineering delivery role but requires a solid engineering foundation and the ability to manage vendors, budgets, resources, and project milestones. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in driving complex capital projects to completion while engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risks to ensure successful execution.
  • Oversee vendor management, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Apply strong knowledge of automation systems and equipment lifecycle (including IQ/OQ/PQ) to guide project delivery.
  • Engage and align stakeholders across engineering, operations, and quality functions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide accurate project reporting and updates to leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end CAPEX projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Proficiency in Primavera and Microsoft Office; experience with project management systems preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen for project budgeting and cost control.
  • Solid understanding of equipment build, installation, commissioning, and qualification.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
