The Proposal Manager isr esponsible for interacting with various teams within an organization to gather necessary information, coordinate efforts, and ensure a successful bid submission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a bid strategy that aligns with thecommercial organization's goals and objectives. Thisincludes understanding the client's needs, assessing thecompetition, and identifying the unique value proposition.
- Coordinate with various teams and functions to gather thenecessary information and resources for the bid, ensuringcohesion in and consistency in tone and delivery toprospective client.
- Create detailed proposal plans that outline the timeline,milestones, responsibilities, and resources required for thebid, ensuring all aspects of the bid are addressed in asystematic manner.
- Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensuremessage is clear, concise, and compelling. This mayinvolve drafting executive summaries, technical sections,pricing details, and other relevant information.
- Organize and maintain RFPio repository of bid-relateddocuments, including past proposals, templates, andreference materials to facilitate efficient future bidprocesses.
Key Interactions
- Collaborate with Sales Reps / Account Managers to understand the client's needs, preferences, and any specific requirements.
- Engage with Corporate Marketing team to gather market research, competitive analysis, and any collateral materials that may be relevant tothe bid.
- Coordinate with Pricing team to receive input on pricing strategies, cost estimates, and discounting considerations.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience
- BS or BA (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years relevant experience preferred (2 years minimum sales proposal experience), preferably in B2B service environment. Fleetexperience a plus. Government bid experience a plus.
- Prior experience with business and/or creative writing
- Experience with presentation software and crafting sales presentations is a plus.
- Project Management (basic skills): identifies key tasks and required deliverables, establishes timelines, engages others as appropriate, andmanages status of work to ensure overall objectives are met. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in arapidly changing, fast-paced, environment.
- Written Communication: Expresses ideas and opinions clearly in properly structured, well-organized, and grammatically correct documents.Utilizes language and terminology that the reader will understand.
- Verbal Communication and Presentation: Understands audience needs; reads reactions and adjusts appropriately. Articulate; conveysinformation in a clear, confident manner.

- Proficiency in various MS Office software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive construction schedules for client baseline approval and update impacted schedules as needed post-baseline.
- Guarantee precision and prompt updates to the construction schedule.
- Perform thorough schedule health assessments before baselining to ensure accuracy, integrity, and critical path verification.
- Allocate resources to schedules, generating and monitoring relevant KPIs.
- Oversee budgets to identify scope expansion or modifications.
- Monitor planned versus actual earned value (EV) progress.
- Collaborate with team members to establish systems for recording and tracking issues through appropriate change control processes.
- Participate in required site meetings, both internal and client-facing.
- Track productivity of trades/craft labour by comparing hours spent versus hours earned.
Requirements
- A relevant third level degree or Engineering qualification.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role specifically on data center projects.
- Data centre & Pharma experience is beneficial.
- Experience with Mechanical & Electrical scope of works with excellent technical knowledge.
- Experience leading projects from a project controls perspective

- 2–7 years' experience in planning or scheduling within engineering, construction, or pharmaceutical projects, with a focus on readiness, CQV, or start-up phases.
- Work closely with project managers and functional leads to coordinate planning inputs, validate progress, and update the master schedule.
- Use Primavera P6 (or equivalent) and Power BI to create data-driven plans, dashboards, and reports that track workstream performance and forecast delivery outcomes.
- Identify and communicate schedule risks, resource conflicts, and dependencies, collaborating with teams to propose solutions and corrective actions.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure scope clarity, milestone alignment, and transparent reporting across readiness activities.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills — translating technical information into clear, actionable insights for multiple stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:
