Charter Medical Private Hospital (CMPH) is a 77-bed surgical hospital located on the outskirts of Mullingar with four operating theatres and an endoscopy unit. We provide a wide range of surgical care across multiple specialties and offer 24/7 Stepdown, Minor Injuries, and Rapid Access services in collaboration with the HSE.
All administration positions in Charter Medical Private Hospital are patient, and team focused. The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate booking and managing public patients for procedures, referred through either the NTPF, Safety Net agreement and also direct initiatives with public hospitals. The Public Works Administrator will facilitate patient care by providing an efficient and effective administration service to the hospital with a strong focus on patient and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
To provide a range of comprehensive administration and clerical support duties working within the Public Works Office.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Monitoring and checking work/information while organising time and resources efficiently.
- Retrieving and sorting of booking referrals.
- Discharging of patients on PAMs / System.
- Send discharge summary to GPs /referring hospital.
- Organising and filing of patient charts for discharge
- Assist, book and run public outpatient clinics when required.
- Run reports as requested by the Public Works Operations Manager.
- Scheduling patients on the internal hospital system and sending appointment confirmation letters.
- Coordinate and liaise with Consultants / Theatre Bookings / Staff / Managers.
- Liaise with hospital departments and external clients, primarily patients, secretaries, Consultants and General Practitioners, HSE Liaison Officers and the NTPF.
- Support colleagues and team members and work closely within the multi-disciplinary team to achieve and maintain objectives of Public Works Office.
- Adhere to and work within the Charter Medical Private Hospital policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
- To undertake any other duties delegated by Public Works Operations Manager
Essential Criteria
