The AA is on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Recovery Driver to support the Roadside & Rescue team in providing best in class customer service to our customers.
This role will form part of the dynamic Roadside team and will report to the Roadside Operations Managers.
As an AA Recovery Driver, you will contribute to the effective operation of the AA's Member Services by attending the scene of an AA member's breakdown. You will be responsible to recover vehicles as directed by our Rescue Centre in a timely and safe manner as laid down by AA.
Shift working is a requirement of this role including weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:
· Collect and deliver B2B and B2C vehicle as directed by our Rescue Contact Centre.
· Be fully compliant with regard to CPC and Drivers hours.
· Be fully conversant with all communication systems used within the Patrol Force Operations and ensure that all communication is maintained to the standards required by the AA.
· Maintain to a high standard of serviceability in cleanliness any AA vehicle, tools and equipment used for individual use.
The Candidate should have the following:
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
· Must have full clean driving licence class of B + C.
· Up to date full CPC's and Digital Drivers card.
· Minimum 2 years' experience driving an HGV or previous Recovery Truck experience.
· A good knowledge of RSA legislations regarding vehicle checks and Tachograph requirements.
· Will be rostered to work 40 hours a week, 5 out of 7 days each week.
· Will be available for overtime for peak periods outside of those rostered hours.
· Flexibility on both sides is the key to making this contract work.

The post holder will work as an integral member of the Nursing and Multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre suite / endoscopy suite involved in the provision of evidence based care to the patients who attend for surgery. We are recruiting nurses in theatre, endoscopy and anaesthetics and recovery. The following services are provided at Aut Even Hospital, General Medicine, sub specialties include but are not limited to: Respiratory, Care of the Elderly and Gastroenterology; Cardiology. Surgical including but are not limited to: general surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, ENT, orthopaedics, plastics, urology, vascular surgery and oral surgery. A Peri Operative staff nurse may be assigned to any area within Anaesthetics, Scrub, Circulating, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) or Endoscopy within their scope of practice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Professional Responsibilities
- Nurses are expected to practice according to the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and Professional Clinical Guidelines.
- Adhere at all times to the Nursing Board code for nurses and ensure that subordinate staff do likewise.

- Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of patient care in the endoscopic room.
- Ensure effective teamwork by good communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team to enable continuity of care and a safe environment for patients and staff, following local protocols and standards.
- Awareness of the effective management of resources within the department.
- Participate in education, training and development of other staff.
- Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the line manger immediately.
- Help to control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding theatre attire, the maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures and asepsis.

Scrub / Circulating
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing surgery.
- Assist consultant surgeons in all surgical procedures.
- Maintain standards of nursing care in pre-operative and post-operative planning, implementation and patient care.
- Be aware of the multifaceted needs of theatre patients and provide a holistic support service for them and their families.
- Prepare the operating room for all elective scheduled procedures.
- Maintain the principles of aseptic techniques in performing surgical scrub, setting instruments, gowning, gloving as needed for each surgical procedure.
- Ensure that controlled drug records are kept in accordance with standard recognised legal and professional practice.
- Ensure the correct counting procedures are adhered to throughout the patient stay in the operating room.
- Supervise the nursing practice of less experienced staff members of the nursing team and participate in the educational aspects of that practice.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by NMBI or be entitled to be so registered.
- Basic Life Support Training.
- 2 years Theatre Nursing experience.
- A relevant Theatre qualification is advantageous.

Job Description
I am primarily looking for a car mechanic with a Class C licence who will also be expected drive a recovery truck within a busy operation as required.
Current CPC essential.
The job will be a mix of mechanical work in the garage and recovery driving including tyre changing.
Experience an advantage for recovery work, however, training will also be given.
An advantage of this type of work is that the job will vary day to day from garage to recovery work so never boring.
Extremely busy on recovery and tyre fitting during tourist season so additional paid overtime hours readily available
4 weeks holidays per year plus bank holidays will be banked as holiday days.

Pay: €34,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
