Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Finance team to partner with the Business to provide a comprehensive view of regulatory reporting.

Job Summary:

The Regulatory Reporting Legal Entity Controllers within Finance & Business Management play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of external regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) for J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank Irish Legal Entities. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Head of Regulatory Reporting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, gaining broad-based experience in a critical area of financial services. This role offers comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of reporting requirements for Credit Institutions and MiFID Investment Firms, as well as active involvement in strategic initiatives such as ICAAP and Recovery Plans. You will also have visibility with senior stakeholders, including the Board, providing opportunities to influence and contribute to high-level decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support business-as-usual regulatory reporting submissions to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), generated via the Axiom system by our outsourced EMEA hub.
  • Ensure reports including COREP (Own Funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures), IFR IFREP Class 2 OF Individual, Asset Encumbrance, FRTB, Resolution Z, FINREP, Accounts uploads, Disclosures, and Monthly Metrics are thoroughly reviewed and obtain timely Director sign-off.
  • Contribute to strategic planning documents, including ICAAP and BRRD Recovery Plan, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory guidelines and internal frameworks, and staying current with regulatory developments and changes.
  • Validate and reconcile financial data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and perform variance analysis and investigate queries to ensure accuracy and compliance in all reporting activities.
  • Maintain robust controls, documentation, and audit trails for all regulatory submissions.
  • Build effective partnerships with cross-functional teams, acting as a key contact for the EMEA reporting hub and internal stakeholders, and proactively supporting query resolution, ad hoc reporting requests, and clear communication across departments.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including the Board, to present findings, support decision-making, and contribute to strategic discussions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and/or holder of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience in regulatory reporting within a Credit Institution or MiFID Investment Firm, with a solid understanding of regulatory obligations, interpretations, and calculation methodologies related to Basel frameworks such as Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), Investment Firm Regulation (IFR), and, where applicable, the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD).
  • Proficient in regulatory reporting systems (such as Axiom, BearingPoint, Wolters Kluwer, Moody's, or bespoke in-house solutions) and MS Office
  • Knowledge of financial statements, financial instruments, and capital adequacy calculations, particularly Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and/or IFR k-factors.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, demonstrating excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project initiatives. Bring a proactive and flexible approach, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in regulatory reporting.
  • Self-starter with the capacity for working with minimal direction to deliver desired results.

About Your Team
Regulatory Reporting is a department within Global Asset Management Delivery responsible for submitting various shareholding reports as required by law and financial regulations in Europe, Middle East, Asian and African jurisdictions. The group is also responsible for all of Fidelity's post trade reporting obligations like EMIR, ASIC, MIFID Transaction and Trade reporting. The Regulatory Reporting function is a global team based in Dublin, Dalian, and Gurgaon covering all relevant regions. Types of regulatory filings include substantial shareholder requirements, takeovers, short-selling, OTC derivatives and industry specific requirements. The Regulatory Reporting team analyses the shareholdings of funds within FIL, and its affiliated company in the US FMR so it can calculate the shareholdings that need to be disclosed under local jurisdictions. Once this has been established filings are made to companies and regulators as required by local laws and regulations.

Due to the nature of the function there is a requirement to cover some public holidays throughout the year.

About Your Role
As a Manager you will be required review daily regulatory submissions for EMEA and APAC based reporting regimes across our range of reporting with particular emphasis on sustainability reporting. In addition to this you may be required to assess major shareholdings of issuers or trading activity across the APAC & EMEA jurisdictions and prepare or review appropriate disclosures as necessary.

As a Global Regulatory Reporting team member you will also be assisting the team in regulatory research and analysis work to assess potential impact caused by a change of regulation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders e.g. compliance, legal and Tech and other operations teams, as well as colleagues from the US FMR, Eight Roads office to ensure Fidelity's regulatory reporting standard meet and exceed expectations.

Full training in the role will be provided

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the submission of regulatory reports to the relevant authority accurately and on a timely basis
  • Responsible for the conducting of daily processes strictly following standard operating procedure and to a high standard
  • Responsible for checking that daily processes have been completed to a high standard
  • Ensure that operational processes fit for purpose and controls are appropriate
  • Assists in formulating and implementing new procedures to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Actively engages in query management and break resolution in a timely manner, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively identifies and communicates compliance and regulatory reporting issues via the appropriate channels
  • Engaging with internal stakeholder to ensure all regulatory updates are captured for reporting and we are compliant on all regulatory interpretations.
  • Assists in producing reports for management information
  • Performs administrative tasks to ensure records are in good order and comply with record retention requirements
  • Establishes effective working relationships with other functional areas and data providers for timely receipt of information required for the completion of daily tasks

  • A good understanding of the financial services industry with Regulatory Reporting experience desirable.

Join Barclays as a Regulatory Reporting Data Manager, where you will support the delivery of strategic initiatives across Group Controls, focusing on the integration of Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) processes. You will play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, driving innovation, and enhancing governance and reporting services across the business.

To be successful as a Regulatory Reporting Data Manager, you should have:

  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret and apply pan-European or in-country European regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in technical analysis and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.

  • Risk Management qualifications or relevant certifications.
  • Experience in business rule production and data automation strategies.
  • Familiarity with Barclays Control Framework (BCF), ERMF, and ORF.

Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.

Team and Role Overview

This role sits within BlackRock's PGR function, which is accountable for all aspects of our clients' periodic, regulatory and sustainability reporting experience covering BlackRock fund ranges globally.

You will play a key role in leading the timely delivery of regulatory and sustainability reporting by (1) understanding and enhancing controls that ensure data accuracy delivered to investors and regulators and (2) implementing tactical technology solutions helping reporting workflow.

The role involves learning different regulatory and sustainability frameworks that ensures data being reported is aligned with relevant regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Support regulatory and sustainability related data collection and reporting initiatives;
  • Perform analytical and quantitative reviews of various regulatory filings to ensure compliance with financial and sustainability regulations and internal policies;
  • Research regulatory and sustainability reporting proposals to determine impact to BlackRock and its investment funds;
  • Present to various audit committees and boards of directors concerning results and findings from recent reporting cycles
  • Analyse and improve performance of current reporting applications and related operational workflows, including implementation of new workflow tools;
  • Demonstrate business intelligence and big data analysis to analyze reporting trends to optimize and improve regulatory and sustainability reporting processes;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal and external partners; and
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal direct supervision in a team environment.

To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, fund administration/accounting,
  • EU regulatory reporting (e.g. AIFMD Annex IV, EU MMR) or data analytics. Working knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing computer programing for data analysis and an understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL) are beneficial including the ability to manipulate large datasets in excel and produce analysis from different viewpoints.
  • Exposure to sustainability reporting regulation is considered advantageous (e.g., SFDR, SDR, TCFD, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others.
  • Excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to produce accurate reporting, spot mistakes/errors and make appropriate corrections.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including ability to clearly articulate results of financial analyses as well as issues to leadership.
  • Problem solver, with the ability to identify gaps and propose more efficient solutions to existing processes through a challenging mindset.
  • Self-motivated, determined to achieve goals and works hard to meet those goals. (Drive, Determination and Execution).
  • Takes ownership for outcomes and is personally accountable for results.
