Details About the Role
Summary:
The role's main duty as a member of the Asset Management team is to support and offer technical solutions for the Operations and Maintenance services of renewable and BESS energy assets. In addition to serving as the owner's engineer and providing technical support to the asset management team, your primary duties include making sure the assets are operating correctly and optimising availability and performance. Using technical data, you will also assist with data administration for performance analysis. The assets include solar modules, inverters, transformer stations, power backup systems, diesel generators, MV and HV substations, weather stations, CCTV systems, etc. We ensure that these services are delivered safely and in accordance with contractual standards and specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- To support the technical daily O&M and Data collection activities across the operational portfolio
- Analyse technical performance of the assets, interact with site teams, propose improvements, validate activities and information
- Lead interaction with Eirgrid & ESB, coordinate Grid Code Compliance Tests, elaborate reports and guide to technical activities
- To Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- To review and support compliance with the related contracts and agreements (PPA, O&M, EPC post PAC, Facilities agreement, etc)
- To administrate and manage documentation, safety files, to cross check information from SCADA and contractors, update and maintain tracker lists
- To lead and support contractual milestones achievement and on time deliverables
- To provide technical information and knowledge to support decisions
- Daily check technical events, investigate and provide the correct justification and classification, in conjunction with the Performance Analyst
- To support contract interpretation, draft documents and notices as required

Background and Experience Required

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients interested in home energy upgrades and renewable energy solutions.
- Advise homeowners, businesses, and partners on the SEAI grant process, project timelines, technical upgrade options, and financial implications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, architects, and local authorities to drive business development.
- Conduct site or virtual consultations to assess energy needs and recommend tailored retrofit solutions.
- Collaborate with internal technical, design, and compliance teams to ensure projects meet SEAI guidelines, are accurately scoped, and delivered efficiently.
- Prepare and present clear, persuasive proposals outlining upgrade options, payback periods, and ROI.
- Stay up to date with changes in SEAI schemes, building regulations, and the wider renewable energy landscape.
- Oversee contracts and negotiations, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Track all leads, sales activities, and project progress using CRM software.
- Contribute to post-sales client support and long-term relationship management to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Support the development of marketing strategies and promotional initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in renewable energy sales, construction, or home energy retrofit projects.
- Strong knowledge of SEAI grant schemes (One Stop Shop, Better Energy Homes, Community Energy Grants, etc.).
- BER Assessor qualification or solid working knowledge of BER principles and building energy performance (desirable).
- Background in construction, engineering, or energy efficiency highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, building plans, and compliance documentation.
- Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital communication platforms.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
