Financial Accountant - Revenue Accountant - Dublin - Hybrid

ICON plc is a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, and we're currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant focusing on Revenue, to join our growing Financial Reporting team, on a hybrid working basis at our HQ in Leopardstown.
As a Financial Accountant specialising in Revenue, you will assist in revenue recognition, forecasting, reporting and reconciliations and be responsible for a portfolio of projects and recognise revenues across the organisation's departmental structure.
**Duties the Financial Accountant (Revenue) will carry out include:**
+ Revenue Calculations.
+ Updating financial systems with contractual arrangements with clients, staff deployment on projects (staff plans) and deliverables achieved.
+ Preparation of the monthly revenue report comparing actual revenue versus forecast with supporting explanations and calculations for variances.
+ Performing reconciliations of contracts and revenues recognised.
+ Assisting in the creation of monthly reports (forecast, backlog, utilisation), including insightful commentary.
+ Ensure revenue is recognised within SOX guidelines i.e. relevant controls, documentation, sign offs, and filing are in place.
**To be considered for the Financial Accountant (Revenue) role, you will need:**
+ Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA (Big 4 Trained or Industry experienced)
+ Financial analysis experience(interpreting data, terms, comfortable in Excel).
+ Oracle Financials experience is beneficial.
+ Demonstrate an ability to balance own work in an efficient manner and to work with a high degree of own initiative.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Systems, Deal Desk, Sales, and Vendor Operations to translate pricing strategy into operational solutions that improve accuracy, compliance, and speed.
Responsibilities:
+ Workflow Design & Execution: Design and optimize pricing workflows within system capabilities to support the execution of new offers. Partner with Systems and Deak Desk to ensure successful implementation and scalability.
+ Automation & Tools: Partner closely with the Systems team to design and build an AI-powered solution that enables Sales and cross-functional teams to access pricing guidance more efficiently. Lead the initiative from concept to implementation as part of broader efforts to automate manual tasks and enhance pricing transparency.
+ Performance Metrics & Feedback Loops: Monitor key pricing operations metrics (e.g., renewal , conversion, automation rates, SLA compliance), addressing feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
+ Sales Enablement & Training: Manage and maintain the Pricing Operations training content library, ensuring materials remain accurate and up to date as processes evolve. Develop and update training materials to support new offer launches, pricing transitions and ongoing education needs across cross functional teams.
+ Quality Assurance: Establish a QA function to ensure pricing accuracy and adherence to policy.
Basic Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of experience in pricing, sales operations or program management
+ BA/BS degree
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience building operational workflows and automating manual processes
+ Familiarity with pricing and sales systems (e.g., CRM, CPQ, proposal tools)
+ Strong analytical skills and experience with data tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, SQL)
