Support program managers to deliver remediation programs through constructive and collaborative engagement to:- Ensure alignment with the requirements and standards set out by the Enterprise Risk Management function. Assess the improvement opportunities that can be leveraged cross functions / business lines / locations in order to improve delivery speed and drive process and control alignment. Support the identification of controls required to support new / improved processes that are required including roles and responsibilities for operation, supervision and governance. Identify and manage senior management issues, in co-ordination, with the impacted business and control areas. Role Description:
As part of Global Banking & Markets, GCIB Credit manages and delivers the credit relationship for wholesale clients in accordance with the company's growth strategy, risk appetite and underwriting standards. While we are an independent function, we work closely with various lines of business, relationship managers, product specialists and Risk.
Global Banking & Markets includes corporate banking, investment banking and sales & trading. The group provides services to large corporations, government entities and institutional investors. These services include mergers and acquisition advice, equity and debt capital raising, corporate lending, sales and trading in fixed income, commodities, currency and equities, risk management, research, and liquidity and payments management.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Global Banking & Markets product spectrum.
+ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the portfolio at the client, industry, and macro level to assess risk and craft value added solutions that balance risk.
+ Assess the credit worthiness, including due diligence of prospective borrowers and/or trading counterparties and establish appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk.

**About this role:**

+ Collaborate and consult with peers, and colleagues, to resolve credit portfolio issues and achieve goals consistent with the credit culture within the firm.
+ Assess credit proposals originating with above-mentioned LoB's and execute or support informed decisions on credit requests within the parameters of the Credit Decisioning Framework.
+ Ensure that proposals originated by the above-mentioned LoB's conform to the Credit Strategy and stated risk appetite set forth by the Board and adhere to WFBI Policies and Procedures.
+ Interface with internal and external auditors, Risk Asset Review and regulators to ensure the integrity of WFBI's credit grades and risk and grading process and procedures.
+ Support the provision of reports to: Senior Management; Credit Committee; Risk Committee; Board; - provisioning, reserves, impairments, Group Reporting; Regulatory Reporting.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Experience in credit Portfolio Consulting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
+ Degree educated (or equivalent).
+ Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide presentations and briefings to management and liaise with other company departments.

An exciting opportunity to join our Corporates Credit team a part of Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB), Credit managing and delivering credit relationships for corporate clients in accordance with the company's growth strategy, risk appetite and underwriting standards. We are an independent function that works closely with various lines of business, relationship managers, product specialists and Risk.
GCIB Credit is responsible for analysing and delivering credit underwriting debt financing solutions and derivative strategies for medium and large corporate clients of GCIB & Global Markets (GM). GCIB includes Corporate Banking and Investment Banking and GM includes Sales & Trading. The group provides services to middle-market and large corporations, government entities and institutional investors. Services including mergers and acquisition advice, equity and debt capital raising, corporate lending, sales and trading in fixed income, commodities, currency and equities, risk management, research, and liquidity and payments management.
GCIB Credit partners with teams across GCIB & GM including Trade Service Partners and Global Treasury Management to drive business growth and results while maintaining appropriate risk discipline specific to the corporate credit portfolio. Integral to GCIB Credit's mission is its partnership with other branches of GCIB, GM and Risk Management organisation in order to effectively manage and monitor the credit risks related to the corporate portfolio.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform financial and credit analysis, risk rating analysis ensuring adherence to prevailing credit policy and procedures for an assigned portfolio.
+ Independently assess credit worthiness, perform intensive qualitative and quantitative due diligence of prospective borrowers and/or trading counterparties and establish appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk.
+ Structuring transactions, underwriting and negotiating credit documentation designed to meet both client and investor needs including credit agreements, amendments, derivative documentation.
+ Ensuring granularity of the portfolio with specific reference to targets for net country/credit capital, legally binding commitments, total exposure and asset quality.
+ Establish appropriate internal risk ratings for clients and implement accurate adjustments throughout the client's credit life cycle.
+ Ensuring that the portfolio and credit management process are at all times rated "satisfactory" by internal auditors, the Credit Review group and external Regulators.
+ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the product spectrum and portfolio at the client, industry, and macro level to assess risk and craft value added solutions balancing risk.
+ Develop, maintain, and manage internal relationships with business partners including Corporate and Investment Bankers, Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Syndications, and Legal.
+ Participate in strategic projects to support business goals.
+ Providing appropriate coaching and development to junior teammates.
**What we are looking for**
+ BA/BSc degree (or equivalent); Finance, Accounting or Economics would be beneficial.
+ Credit risk experience at a major international financial institution, analysing, assessing companies and knowledge of EMEA and specific industry sectors, structuring transactions and documentation.
+ Credit skills, risk judgment and broader risk awareness and understanding of the wider business, market and regulatory environment in which the bank operates, and how that impacts client and portfolio's credit profile and ability to defend rigorously a fact-based point of view.
+ Sound product/technical, documentation and process knowledge across lending, trade finance and derivative (FX, rates, commodities and equities) products.
+ Acting as an agent of change/improvement, influencing corporate policy/procedure and projecting a positive strategic vision.
+ Commercial mindset to support value added discussions with effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.

**Role Overview:**
The overall objective of this role is management of Citi's credit exposure to counterparties in the Funds, Fund Managers and Pensions space in EMEA.
**What you'll do:**
+ Specifically, make recommendations for requests to onboard funds to manage traded products such as ISDA, GMRA, OTC clearing, FXPB etc.
+ Manage a modest portfolio of corporate loans (e.g. RCF to asset manager, redemption facility for funds).
+ Negotiate key credit terms in agreements for these activities.
+ Continuously monitor and actively manage portfolio through stress tests and exceptions.
+ reporting and escalation e.g. limit overage, margin call dispute, covenant breach.
+ Develop or re-engineer, test, optimize and implement credit standards, procedures and policies.
+ Manage risk levels for the credit spectrum across multiple products.
+ Track and report on initiatives, performance results, emerging trends and opportunities to senior management.
+ Establish cross-functional partnerships and networks in order to support the execute cross-functional and business initiatives.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**What we'll need from you:**
+ Extensive years' experience in credit risk management, essential.
+ Ideally previous experience in funds, asset manager and or wider financial services.
+ Experience in traded products and their respective agreements.
+ Experience in process management and automation.
+ Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
+ Proven negotiation skills often used at a senior level.
+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency.
+ Ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audience.
+ Ability to be productive fast - experience of Citi, systems and business a strong plus.
