**JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for working within a 24x7 warehouse/logistics environment providing operations and maintenance services to support a fleet of robots. Expected to be a subject matter expert within the department and will act as a lead and mentor to Robotics Technician I and II employees.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Leads and sets expectations for safe work practices.
Provides guidance to level I and II technicians at the site. Acts as a mentor for level I and II technicians and provides training as required.
Maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems to Robotics System.
Provides advanced troubleshooting support including diagnosing and repairing complex problems within the fleet.
Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots control components, photo eyes, proximity sensors, servo drives, techs, and encoders.
Utilizes knowledge of the Ethernet communication modules.
Assists Service Technicians repairing and maintaining material handling equipment.
Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures.
Performs battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
Enters downtime data in daily log, complete sPM sheets.
Tracks and stores the department's inventory, including spare parts.
Enters e-mail communication and date entry for database.
Performs other duties as assigned.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Large Capital Sales Specialist to lead sales efforts across our advanced surgical navigation, intraoperative imaging, and robotics portfolio in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a field-based, high-value sales role focused on complex capital equipment sales into public and private hospitals across both the HSE and NHS systems.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and solution seller, capable of navigating long capital sales cycles and influencing both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including procurement teams, C-suite executives, and clinical champions.
This is a pivotal role within a growing and dynamic market, where Navigated surgery and robotics are rapidly shaping the future of spine and neurosurgery.
Since the assigned territory for this position is Ireland and Northern Ireland, we would prefer the candidates to be located in or near Dublin.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Develop and implement a territory strategy to grow market share and drive adoption of navigation, robotics, and imaging technologies in key hospitals across Ireland
+ Identify and target high-potential hospitals, surgical departments, and clinical champions
+ Maintain detailed account plans and commercial tactics for key tenders and opportunities Through CRM, forecasting, pipeline management
+ Own the end-to-end capital sales process from early-stage engagement through to hospital approval, capital justification, and deal closure
+ Build robust business cases, navigate HSE and NHS procurement frameworks, private hospital capital planning processes, and public tender submissions
+ Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Spinal and Neurosurgeons, theatre teams, biomedical engineers, procurement professionals, radiology, Med Physics and hospital executives
+ Lead & Coordinate product demonstrations, site visits, and capital evaluations to influence buying decisions in collaboration with clinical specialists
+ Serve as a key local contact point in Ireland for larger EMEA-wide initiatives or capital rollouts and work closely with all cross functional teams for a seamless customer experience
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Minimum of 5 years of capital equipment sales experience in medical devices, ideally involving high-tech solutions such as navigation, imaging, or robotics
+ Demonstrated success in complex sales cycles and experience managing public procurement processes (including HSE, NHS NI, and private hospital capital committees)
+ Strong knowledge of the Irish healthcare landscape - including Health Service Executive (HSE), National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF), Procurex Ireland, and framework agreements
+ Strategic and consultative selling skills
+ High commercial and financial acumen
+ Strong communication and presentation ability
+ Resilience, drive, and ownership mentality
+ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex decision-making chains

**The Role**
Proofpoint is looking for a Machine Learning Scientist to join the Algo team within the Tessian Business Unit. In this role, your key responsibility will be to analyse data, build ML models and improve algorithms at the core of our email threat detection engine that protects some of the largest businesses in the world. **Your day-to-day**
-Wrangle and draw meaningful insights from massive amounts of unstructured textual data using the latest tools and technologies like Spark, Iceberg, Athena, AWS SageMaker
-Apply unsupervised learning algorithms across billions of email interactions to identify emerging threat patterns
-Work with state-of-the-art machine learning models and techniques like encoder-decoder transformers, LLMs, anomaly detection as well as classical ML models to solve a multifaceted problem
-Engineer new features, train and deploy models to production using AWS SageMaker as the MLOps platform
-Adopt a data-driven approach to identify gaps in our detection algorithms and propose improvements to our models and algorithms

**What you bring to the team**
Essential
- Proficiency in Python with the ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code for data analysis, modeling and experimentation
- Experience contributing to multiple highly impactful machine learning projects with proven results
-Hands-on experience in the NLP domain involving training, fine-tuning and productionising transformer-based models for text classification / text-embeddings (experience with LLMs, generative AI is a plus)
-Experience monitoring and maintaining performance of models over time in production considering model/data drifts In-depth experience with one or more deep neural network frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, JAX)

Location: We are open to this person working hybrid from our office in Galway or remote within Ireland Description: The Conversational AI group are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the team and drive the innovation and evolution of our Conversational AI solutions with a focus on Generative AI systems at global scale (reaching over 7,500 organizations in 100+ countries). This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our AI capabilities while leading complex technical initiatives that will shape our journey towards Agentic AI. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and practical implementation, delivering solutions that have a significant organizational impact. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, and product teams supporting each other to bring state-of-the-art AI technologies to production.This is an opportunity to shape the future of AI-driven conversations and develop robust, scalable architectures for intelligent agents. What You Will Do : Lead innovation and strategy: design and execute POCs that push the boundaries of conversational AI and virtual agent capabilities, contributing to organizational growth through creative technical solutions. Architect and develop: maintain, enhance, and evolve our Virtual Agents engine, applying advanced AI/ML concepts to solve extremely complex problems in natural language understanding and generation. Drive technical vision: shape and deliver our roadmap toward Agentic AI, translating cutting-edge research into practical and scalable solutions. Project leadership: manage major technical initiatives involving cross-functional teams, delegating work effectively while maintaining high standards through technical review. Mentor and guide: provide technical coaching and training to engineers across the organization, explaining complex AI concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Influence and collaborate: work closely with product teams, customers, and vendors to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions. What We're Looking For : Ideally, a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines. However, this is not a hard requirement as we recognise there are many diverse paths into software careers. 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in AI/ML systems (advanced degrees may reduce requirement by 2 4 years). Deep expertise in conversational AI, NLP, and dialogue systems with a proven track record of delivering production systems. Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture. Experience leading complex technical projects and managing technical deliverables. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and explain complex concepts across organizational levels. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Independent judgment in developing novel approaches to challenging AI problems. Desirable Experience or an Interest in Learning : Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in conversational systems. Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and prompt engineering. Knowledge of multi-agent systems/frameworks and agentic AI architectures. Familiarity with voice AI technologies and multimodal conversational interfaces. Experience with MLOps and deploying AI systems at scale. Background in reinforcement learning for dialogue optimization. Understanding of enterprise AI governance and responsible AI practices. Interest in emerging areas, such as tool-using AI agents and autonomous decision-making systems. Experience with cloud platforms (particularly AWS) and AI/ML technologies. Experience with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Contributions to open-source AI projects, research publications, or patents in AI/ML.
