Health & Safety Specialist Limerick An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Health & Safety Professional to join the dedicated Health, Safety Environmental (HSE) Team and play an integral part in developing, maintaining and continually improving the HSE Systems/Programs at our new manufacturing site. The successful Safety Specialist will have 2+ years experience relevant professional experience in a manufacturing facility (Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated Industry) and will be qualified with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety (or related subject) Key Responsibilities: Develop, integrate and continuously improve Safety/Health programmes. Site program owner of several Safety/Health programmes such as but not limited contractor safety, high risk permitting, confined space, lone working. Provide specialist advice and technical support/expertise to the site to ensure compliance with Safety/Health legislation, corporate standards, policies and industry guidance. Support the development of a safety culture with integrated safety practices and open safety conversations. Develop and deliver high quality Safety/Health training and communications. Understand and implement Safety/Health requirements in a manufacturing environment. Support site audits and self-assessments. Collaborate with site manufacturing and technical support personnel to manage Safety/Health aspects. Interact with external (e.g., service providers, vendors) and internal partners (e.g., Global HSE, other sites in the network, etc) as required. Support and participate in required Site team and HSE Team meetings.
