Us
At
Activate Training
, we're a growing team with big plans. We offer training programmes to businesses in areas such as Leadership / Selling Skills / Effective Communication.
We've had good success with strong growth, and big potential for growth in the years ahead. We're looking to grow our Business Development Team in the coming months, and so we're on the hunt for a Full Time Business Development Executive to join our team.
The role
We need people to call businesses who aren't expecting you, to find the right person, keep in touch with them and then create an appointment when the time is right. Some people call that "cold calling". (So do we). For the right person, this role could definitely progress into a more senior role in the future. But we have to start somewhere. We offer a competitive basic salary plus commission on sales, and our goal is to help you be successful.
You
You'll have some sales experience, not necessarily in direct B2B sales but it would certainly help. We definitely want people who are energetic, who are resilient and who don't give up. This type of sales is not easy, and it's not for everyone - you'll spend lots of time "not getting through to the people you're looking for", and it takes determination, motivation and resolve to keep going until results start to show, which they always do for those who keep going.
If you tick any of the following boxes, we'd love to talk to you:
- 20 years of Sales Experience
- 2 years of Sales Experience
- 4 languages
- 1 language
- Type 60 words a minute
- Type slowly with one finger on each hand
- Experience with CRM
- Think "CRM" stands for "Can't Remember Much"
- Interested in progression
- Purely interested in doing a good job, earning good money and finishing on time
You get the idea. You just need to do the work and make plenty of calls, and be prepared for the fact that most of them will be to people who don't really want to speak to you right now.
Totally flexible on everything else, it's a Work From Home position with some occasional client visits or meetings so you need good phone reception, decent WiFi, and a good sense of humour. We'll show you exactly what to do and support you every step of the way.
Qualifications
You don't need any, but if you do we won't hold it against you.
