Roles and Responsibilities: Lead in the planning, coordination and management of all concrete works on site. Arrange for all safety equipment, raw materials, moulds, access equipment or other items necessary to complete scheduled works. Check that plant and equipment in use for works is fit for purpose and is in good working order. Check all HSEQ controls and records are adhered to when supervising works. Provide activity-specific instruction to train employees in the steps to be followed to complete works safely and to the required quality standard. Monitor competency levels of trained employees and support the training and development of junior employees. Keep records of internal training and competence assessments and provide to health and safety department for inclusion in training matrix. Check all legally required inspections and checklists, and company specific records are maintained and filled. The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.
**About the job:**
The successful candidate is chiefly responsible for carrying out direct operations in material handling and manufacturing, thereby ensuring the site delivers safe and effective products that meet customer needs whilst maintaining compliance. (This role will work Monday to Friday 4pm-12am)
**Major responsibilities include:**
+ Performing data entry, receiving inventory and cycle counting
+ Meeting customer requirements through the arrival and transfer of material in a timely and accurate manner
+ Improving environmental, health and safety performance in the plant
+ Operating production equipment
+ Writing/providing input for operating procedures
+ Computer data inputting
**Education and experience required:**
+ Educated with a second level qualification
+ Experience working in manufacturing environment

The Technician, Production Operations position (G3 Swing Shift) is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
This position is part of the Production Operations department located onsite at Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Role Specific:
· Operate equipment when training has been completed.
· Maintain equipment in a condition necessary to operate at its optimum.
· Comply with cleaning procedure for equipment and machinery.
· Fill and/or label products as per Training plan.
· Pack and label Kits.
· Prepare of packing components for Kits.
· Kit/Vial Inspection as required.
General:
· Ensure that all Operations are performed to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality System Regulations.
· Comply and co-operate with any changes to processes, machinery layout, production techniques, new equipment and processes.
· Maintain neat and accurate records, logs and documents as required.
· Understand and follow through on all relevant procedures and ensure compliance.
· Comply with Set Housekeeping rules within the Department.
· Comply with the Dress Code Regulations.
· Comply with all Environmental and Health and Safety regulations.
· Train other Personnel in any aspect of Job Function as required.
The essential requirements of the job include:
· Leaving Certificate or equivalent
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· Working in a Manufacturing Operations role as part of a team using problem solving tools in a manufacturing work environment
· Knowledge and experience of GMP in a highly regulated manufacturing work environment.
Working hours;
+ Week 1: Mon - Thurs 8am-4pm, Fri 8am-3pm
+ Week 2: Mon - Thurs 4pm-12am, Fri 3pm-10pm
