Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 year work experience in security area with relevant certifications and proven track record.

  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

To provide a security service and supervise security officers on the client's site in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. In the absence of a direct line security reporting manager on site due to the size of the site. The security supervisor will take full responsibility for that department and report directly to the TFM/ATFM.

Ensuring e xcellent service to all users of the Security Department working to the standard required by the Diageo client and Sodexo. Ensuring the safety and security of the site, employees, visitors with emphasis on the security of the assets and belongings.

Your main responsibilities may include:

  • To provide a high-quality service to the customer at the specified site in full compliance with the applicable Assignment Instructions and following basic Job and Site Training.
  • Write and submit security incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide security service to the site, enforcing client policies and procedures, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Assign areas for officers to patrol, ensuring they are all captured on the Security Management System, ensuring all patrols are conducted.
  • Protect the people and property.
  • Be vigilant for suspicious persons, vandalism or hazards, ensuring that everything is documented and reported
  • Co-ordinate fire incidents alongside the site engineers. Lead the response to alarm activations, and silence and isolate alarms following the standard operating procedures and site governance
  • Co-ordinate fire drills and assembly musters. Respond to alarms and distress calls, dealing with them professionally and in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • First Responders to First Aid incidents, Monitor and respond to all gas alarms following the site policies and procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Check all First Aid stations ensuring all stations are fully equipped
  • Ensure that the First Aid Grab Bags are present in the Gatehouse and are fully stocked with all supplies in date.
  • Ensure all spillages are reported following site guidelines. For non-minor spillages support the site incident control team.
  • Ensure all security systems, like the burglar alarms, access control and CCTV are working and maintained in accordance with manufacturers guideance.
  • Supervise security officers, ensuring company policies and producers are adhered to.
  • Lead the team of security officers that are assigned to you professionally, ensuring all officers are trained, all shifts are covered and that all compliance reports are fully completed.
  • Complete rosters, holiday & sickness cover, training, and assignment of security duties to the team.
  • Oversee the monitoring of CCTV, ensuring any evidence is captured correctly and in line with the legal requirements and site policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, identify and remedy all the vulnerabilities in the security of the site.
  • Prepare & provide accurate and timely reports for the Company and Client on site wide incidents that occur.
  • Random inspections to ensure that all security officers are in their assigned places and wearing the correct PPE, uniforms and their PSA licences.
  • Take full responsibility for everything that happens during their shift, hence, they must make reports on all occurrences.
  • Supervisors must train all the new security officers regarding all the security protocols of the company and client.
  • To undertake Control Room Duties when required:

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • Excellent communications skills – with excellent standards of verbal and written English
  • PSA licence
  • Computer Literate – with experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Understanding of Food Safety Regulations
  • Understanding of Health & Safety Practices
  • Knowledge of fire detection systems.
  • First aid & AED qualified (Or ability to obtain certification)

Assist guests/employees during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Defuse guest/employee disturbances. Resolve safety hazard situations. Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation. Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

We are currently recruiting for a Retail_ Security Supervisor _to work in the Dundrum area of Dublin 16.

We are particularly looking to hear from candidates who are searching for a new challenge, and want to provide the best customer experience possible to our client and their employees and visitors.

  • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction.
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or incidents.
  • Liaise with Gardai Siochana and emergency services, during security emergencies when required.
  • Train security personnel on protocols and emergency response plans.
  • Regularly inspect security equipment (CCTV, access control, alarms) to ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years Retail Security Supervisor Experience.
  • Excellent written and attention to detail.
  • Excellent P.C. skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and telephone manner.
  • Must be Fully flexible and available.
  • PSA Static License is essential to be considered for this position.

*Please note that you must have a valid work permit and currently reside in Ireland to be considered for this role. Your work permit must legally allow you to work more than 40 hours a week for this role*
