Securitas Security Services Ireland are currently recruiting for a Security Officer for our client based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. This is mainly a night shift position. The pay rate for this position is €15.41 per hour, night shift allowance of €6.80 and Sunday premium of 44/hour. A full clean drivers license is required for this position *All Securitas interviews are conducted online via video call* Good public transport links and shuttle bus service provided from Maynooth and Leixlip. Expectations of this position: Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the training that has been agreed is necessary for the particular site. Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AIs). Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes and in order to suggest changes that can proactively improve or enhance the level of service. Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site. Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action in order to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage. Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening. Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process. Wear the uniform provided correctly at all times, ensuring all items is clean and pressed.To maintain an excellent level of personal grooming and hygiene at all times. Maintain a helpful, interested and courteous approach to team members, customers staff and the general public, as applicable in order to uphold a highly professional image. With a focus on customer service, serve as the initial point of contact for employees, contingent workers, and visitors for all security related topics Prepare, and review Daily Activity Reports (DAR). Create incident reports and escalate to management. Monitor physical security systems, to include access control & alarm monitoring, video surveillance. Dispatch and coordinate response to security incidents that occur on client premises or events, using the appropriate communication methodology, including but not limited to, radio, telephone, email, SMS, and mass notification tools Provide continuous monitoring of client facilities 24/7, and respond accordingly to incidents Receive, evaluate and disseminate incoming information and reports from security personnel. Escalate critical events to site management. Verbal and written communication must be clear, concise, timely, accurate and customer focused. Monitor and protect all of the clients assets Security Officer Specification: ? The Security Specialist / Information Security Officer (ISO) to manage security projects and engage with senior stakeholders. This is a key role ensuring the effective implementation of security frameworks, compliance, and risk management strategies within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and management of security projects across the organisation. Act as the primary contact for senior stakeholders, providing security expertise and influencing decision-making at an executive level. Ensure compliance with financial services regulatory requirements (e.g., EBA, CBI, ISO 27001, GDPR). Develop, maintain, and monitor security policies, standards, and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and manage remediation plans to strengthen overall security posture. Oversee vendor and third-party risk management in line with regulatory expectations. Provide guidance, training, and awareness to teams on security best practices. Support incident response planning and execution, ensuring business resilience and continuity. Experience & Skills Required Proven experience as a Security Specialist / ISO within financial services / Insurance or a regulated industry. Strong track record in managing security projects from initiation through to delivery. Ability to work closely with and influence senior stakeholders, regulators, and boards. In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and financial services security standards. Familiarity with risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Qualifications (Preferred) Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. **What you'll do**
+ This role will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise
+ This role will leverage subject matter expertise, whether that is physical security and safety, crisis management, security technology, event security/logistics or vendor management. Some of the responsibilities for this role are as follows:
+ Responsible for the direct management of Citi facilities; Citi occupied properties and the security staff at those facilities as delegated by the Regional Director of Security
+ Oversee activities of security operations staff in an effort to safeguard premises and employees against risk of; unauthorized entry, fire, theft, vandalism, and opportunities for criminal activities
+ Enforce security rules and safety standards
+ Review security or safety related incidents and ensure that appropriate measures to correct any deficiencies or errors are taken in an effort to reduce risk or exposure to risk
+ Ensure that security procedures are enforced and that all security personnel are trained to respond to emergency situations
+ Interact with other departments on issues involving security and safety functions
+ Conduct training, Operational readiness exercises and ensure that security staff is well practiced and rehearsed in the execution of security operations, drills, assignments and the day- to-day functioning of security systems
+ Acquire, manage and maintain relationships with local law enforcement authorities, first responder agencies and key business support entities as it supports assigned facilities
+ Maintain CSIS systems, staff and equipment in a state of perpetual readiness enough to meet or surpass requirements of both internal and/or external audits.
+ Demonstrate basic knowledge of vendor and invoice management
+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
+ Acts as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**What we'll need from you**
+ Seasoned security officer experience
+ Bachelor's degree/Associate's degree plus equivalent work experience/High School diploma plus equivalent work experience
+ Experience in adhering current security protocols, operations manuals and guides
+ Proven ability to foster relationships and interface with external agencies to promote functional excellence
+ Demonstrated experience in making sound judgements at a moment's notice
+ Has maintained corporate assets, to include lease vehicles and equipment in a state of perpetual readiness enough to meet or surpass requirements
+ Can articulates basic understanding of security vulnerabilities and suggests preventative measures to assist in the mitigation of these potential risks
+ Experience in working with security & safety technology
+ Demonstrated ability to follow security and safety instructions and procedures; reporting anything out of the ordinary to management and obey rules and regulations set out in delegations of duty, verbal instructions and company policies
+ Relevant experience in a private/public sector security environment
+ Professional Security certifications
+ Experience working in a corporate or financial services security team
+ Flexibility to work on call off hours/weekends
