Your key responsibilities
Within FAAS, you'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary and high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive experience helping financial services organisations solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution in one or more of the following areas:
- Research and develop solutions to complex technical accounting and/or regulatory issues.
- Keep up to date with industry, regulatory and accounting change to proactively develop and present solutions to our clients and potential clients;
- Work with our client's financial and regulatory reporting teams to help deliver insights from financial information and to improve reporting processes.
- Lead the delivery of technical support on ad-hoc accounting and regulatory queries from clients and teams in other service lines and across EMEIA;
- Assist clients with the implementation of new and revised accounting standards, GAAP conversions and regulatory change.
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of engagements including those involving large scale financial and accounting change or complex transactions in in large Finance functions.
- Lead junior team members effectively, providing support and guidance whilst acting as the key point of contact with senior leaders.
- Leverage technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery; and
- Build strong internal relationships within Assurance and across the other service lines we work with and support.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Accountancy qualified (ACCA / ACA / CPA / CA or Equivalent).
- A minimum of 10 years post qualified experience.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, and FRS 102.
- Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge.

Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities Of The Accounts Assistant Will Include
- Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger and creditors ledger to a high standard, with focus on monthly and year-end accuracy.
- Ensure all goods are ordered via Purchase Orders and deliveries are verified, investigating any discrepancies.
- Manage invoice and payment processing using Great Plains and Procure Wizard systems.
- Reconcile daily banking, supplier statements, and agents' commissions.
- Prepare payment runs and commission invoices for ancillary activities.
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and assist with external audit queries.
- Liaise with suppliers on payments and remittances, providing necessary financial information to Central Finance.
- Maintain accurate financial records, update files, and support data collection for queries.
- Guide and support the Accounts Payable Assistant and participate in cross-training within the finance team.
- Undertake additional accounting tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate for the
Accounts Assistant
position should:
- Strong clerical and administrative skills are essential.
- A third-level qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated interest in developing financial knowledge with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work flexibly and meet strict month-end deadlines.
- Previous experience in accounts or finance is advantageous.
