Key Responsibilities

Currently Searching for an Accountant for a Northside Client. Office base is close to the Northside Shopping Centre, the role is based in the office 80%-90%.

Reporting to a Company Director, this role is a stand-alone player-manager position based in the offices 5 days per week. The role is the only person in the Accounts Department and will be responbile for all Accounting Activities up to and including Monthly Accounts, P&L, Debtors and Creditors. Duties:

Operate and maintain the purchase order (PO) process, ensuring every supplier transaction is logged and approved in line with the procurement framework.

Manage cost efficient procurement of goods, materials, and consumables, e.g., chemicals, uniforms, tools, generators, among others, and ensure stock availability.

Oversee important documentation for fleet and equipment administration, including CVRT compliance, insurance documentation, and leasing renewals.

Identify, monitor, and report on areas of budgetary overspend, providing data-driven recommendations for cost optimisation and improved financial efficiency

Support cash handling activities and ensure proper reconciliation of deposits, refunds etc.

Generate periodic sales, expenditure, and cost analysis reports highlighting variances and recommending corrective measures.

Support the Operations Manager and management team in annual budgeting and audit preparation.
