The Offshore Business Intelligence Senior Lead Analyst will work within the Business Intelligence team of the Offshore PMO, supporting the development and delivery of data-driven insights and reporting solutions for offshore transmission readiness and infrastructure delivery.

The role will involve leading specific business intelligence projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting the simplification of business processes and reporting frameworks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that data and analytics are effectively leveraged to support regulatory submissions, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Team
The Chief Transformation & Technology Office (CTTO) is responsible for driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology delivery across EirGrid. It plays a central role in enabling the organisation to meet its decarbonisation and infrastructure goals through the deployment of modern systems, data intelligence, and programme governance frameworks. The Offshore PMO sits within this office, ensuring alignment between technology strategy and offshore programme execution.

About You
Successful candidates will have:

  • University degree in Business, Information Technology or other equivalent degree, typically a minimum of 6+ years relevant experience
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills, and experience leading process design, implementation, change management and improvement
  • Strong understanding and experience with extraction, transferring and loading of business data.
  • Experience developing and performing business analysis on schedule, cost and performance data for government, regulators and C-Suite audiences using digital storybooks, data analytics and Power B.I.

Role/Department:

The Management Reporting Planning & Analysis (MRP&A) team provide financial analysis and decision-making support to senior business stakeholders across EMEA. The MRP&A team play a key role as partner, adviser and consultant to the business teams and support them in achieving their business, financial and strategic growth objectives.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Present and analyse business performance through the provision of informative financials, detailed analytics and evaluation of key performance drivers.
  • Facilitate and support business decision making through regular targeted assessments including client financial performance, expense management and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Produce presentations and high value financial analysis to support regular business reviews between senior regional business management and senior business unit leadership.
  • Complete the monthly financial forecast and the annual profit plan process including the collection, assessment and impact analysis of key assumptions and inputs to the process.
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and broader corporate finance team.
  • Partner with MRP&A team members to complete a wide variety of tasks each month which support wider team deliverables.

  • Ability to deliver accurate and sound financial analysis under tight deadlines.
  • Confident verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
  • Qualified accountant with experience gained in a multi-currency / multinational environment is preferred
