Responsibilities: Lead and oversee design and construction of site development works, structural steel and concrete packages, architectural finishes, and building envelope systems.

Ensure all works comply with local building codes, client specifications, and industry standards.
Support permitting and coordinate with local authorities when needed.
Monitor contractor work continuously, carrying out quality inspections throughout construction phases.
Work with construction managers and subcontractors to resolve field issues as they arise.
Aid in project scheduling, budgeting and progress reporting for all CSA elements.
Drive continuous improvement in the use of materials, construction methods, safety practices and efficiency.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years' experience working in CSA engineering roles on large-scale construction projects.
Data centre experience is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency with design and modelling tools like Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks, and structural analysis software.
Knowledge of regional codes & standards, envelope design, and building faade best practices.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with contractors, planning authorities, design consultants and internal teams.

This involves technical design, project management, collaboration with internal and external teams, and ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Design and manage civil/structural projects, especially bridge refurbishments new constructions.
Conduct structural assessments and produce technical reports.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
Monitor construction activities for safety, quality, and compliance.
Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and external agencies.
Support implementation of company and industry standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Reporting Structure Reports to Programme Manager and Project Managers Functional reporting to Manager and Senior Engineers in a Structures Section.
Work closely with project teams, technical staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications & Skills Level 8 degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status and Engineers Ireland membership.
5+ years' experience in a design office.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Tekla TEEDS, SLOPE, WALLAP) and BIM tools (Revit, Auto CAD, Civils 3 D).
Strong knowledge H&S regulations.
Willingness to work occasional nights/weekends.
Full driving license with access to a car.
Desirable Experience Technical documentation and reporting.
Site audits and safety inspections.
Project management and information systems.
Health & Safety in construction environments.
Core Competencies Accountability for design deliverables and contract management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commercial awareness and organisational ability.
Safety & Compliance Adhere to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Represent the department in meetings and uphold corporate standards.
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays 20-days sick pay (certified) in a 12-month rolling period After 1 month, a complimentary travel card will be issued for the candidate, spouse and dependants.
Initially this role is for 12 months with a view to permanency.
