**What you will do:**
+ Designs, validates and brings new products to market.
+ Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.

+ Will assist in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements.
+ Support capital acquisition activities.
+ Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches.
+ Conduct MSA studies for new products and new processes.
**What you will need:**
+ Level 8- BSc in a science, engineering or related discipline.
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred.

**Position Summary**
The Project Engineer will provide technical support across various project related activities. A knowledge of the design, development, and validation of manufacturing technologies essential for the role, particularly in one or more of the following areas: CNC machining, metrology, packaging, biomaterial production and coatings. **Key Areas of Responsibility**
+ Provide engineering support for new equipment and process changes, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.

+ Support capital acquisition activities.
+ Provision of technical guidance for the maintenance technicians and other engineers on the team.
+ Conduct MSA studies for products and new processes.
+ Responsibility as technical support for projects (value stream and cross functional) as assigned by the company, including the scoping, approval, budgeting, specification, execution, qualification and operational handover as appropriate.
+ Observing the Quality Management Systems requirements on site at all times
+ Provision of out-of-hours support to the business as required by management or as mandated by shutdowns and/or equipment failures.

**Qualifications Knowledge Skills**
+ Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
+ Proven Project Engineering skills through the delivery of business critical projects.
+ Has 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external agents.
+ Capable of technical leading, influencing and providing technical direction to Engineers, Coop Students, Technicians and operators as required.

Job Description

Careerwise Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong construction background and proven experience in building clean rooms within pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments. You will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects that meet the strict regulatory and technical requirements of pharmaceutical facilities. THE ROLE: Assist in the planning, design, and construction of pharmaceutical clean room projects, from concept through commissioning. Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure project specifications are met. Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, safety protocols, and cGMP compliance. Track project budgets, change orders, and resource allocations to ensure cost-effective execution. Lead or support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) processes for clean room systems (HVAC, filtration, envelope, etc.). Ensure all documentation, including drawings, SOPs, and turnover packages, are accurate and complete. Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively in collaboration with contractors and design teams. Ensure clean room classification standards (ISO 7/8, etc.) and environmental controls are implemented and verified. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 3- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction project engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Direct experience in the design and construction of clean rooms, including knowledge of ISO classifications and HVAC/filtration systems. Strong understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and clean room construction standards. Proficient in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and construction documents. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
