As part of their continued R&D investment, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Hardware Test & Validation Engineer to support the testing and qualification of complex electronic systems. This is a key role within a growing engineering division, ideal for someone coming from an electronics engineering background with strong experience in hardware testing, validation planning, and debugging in regulated environments. Role Overview: As a Senior Hardware Test & Validation Engineer, you will take ownership of test planning, execution, and documentation for new and existing hardware platforms. You'll collaborate closely with the design, firmware, and compliance teams to ensure products meet quality, performance, and safety standards across a range of wireless and low-power safety devices. Key Responsibilities: Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for hardware validation across various product lines Perform hands-on testing, fault-finding, and root cause analysis on electronic assemblies Define test methodologies, fixtures, and custom test setups for prototype and pre-production units Work closely with design and embedded teams to influence hardware testability and improve product robustness Support regulatory compliance testing (EMC, environmental, functional safety) Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and documentation standards Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in the test team Required Experience: 5+ years' experience in hardware test/validation or electronics development Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline Strong understanding of analogue/digital circuit design and debugging Experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies, etc.) Knowledge of test development for microcontroller-based systems Comfortable working with schematics, layouts, and hardware design documentation Background in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace, safety-critical etc.) Desirable Experience with automated hardware testing or LabVIEW/test scripting Exposure to wireless technologies (BLE, Zigbee, RF) Familiarity with environmental and compliance standards (e.g. IEC, ISO 13485, EMC/EMI testing) Understanding of PCB layout best practices and DFT/DFM principles Reperio Human Capital acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business. Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world's premier cloud computing platform. We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast paced, ever changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment.
On-site Manufacturing Engineers work closely with our CMs to scale up our production on NPIs and ensure that we can meet the production and quality targets. You will also work with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to monitor and improve the incoming hardware quality of AWS products both proactively in the design phase as well as monitoring, reporting and investigating any early-life product failures. This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues. You will be the driver in getting production up and running, understanding root cause of hardware failures and resolving gaps in our suppliers manufacturing processes.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high-tech hardware
- 5+ working with manufacturing suppliers to improve incoming quality of systems
- 5+ years Experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
