About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive, detail orientated, commercially minded solicitor to join our expanding and dynamic in-house legal team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal matters including litigation support, complaints management, data protection, corporate transactions, and general legal matters and will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop commercial legal experience within a fast-paced business environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the Davy legal team and collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business.In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Liaise with external counsel, manage case files, and support dispute resolution processes.
  • Investigate and respond to client complaints including FSPO complaints in line with our regulatory obligations.
  • Provide advice on data protection and privacy matters including supplier management and contracts (including advice on data transfers), breach responses, Data Privacy Impact Assessments, advice on data subject rights and AI governance and compliance.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, and general legal and corporate governance documents.
  • Respond to ad hoc legal queries from internal departments within the business, offering clear and practical advice
  • Conduct legal research and assist in identifying legal risks and mitigation strategies.

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with 1–3 years post-qualification experience.

  • Working knowledge of key legislative/regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to MiFID, the Consumer Protection Code, the Investment Intermediaries Act, the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts.

  • Experience in corporate law, GDPR, litigation, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with sound judgment.
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.
  • A commitment to quality with a strong attention to detail is extremely important to this role.

About the role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel
to provide day-to-day legal advice to product, compliance, and management teams. The role covers a broad spectrum of EU and national regulatory matters, including:

  • Digital Services Act (DSA) and Digital Markets Act (DMA)
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA)
  • Intellectual Property and Consumer Protection
  • Network and Information Security (NIS2)
  • Other laws related to digital mobile and smart car services

You will also be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial agreements, supporting compliance activities, and managing consumer and law enforcement requests. This position reports directly to the company's
General Counsel
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to internal teams on digital, data, and compliance matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and technology contracts
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with EU and national data protection, consumer, and technology laws
  • Handle regulatory and law enforcement inquiries and consumer complaints
  • Collaborate with global legal and business colleagues across multiple jurisdictions

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualified to practice law in Ireland (preferred), the UK, or another EU member state
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience (in-house or law firm experience preferred)
  • Solid understanding of EU digital and data protection frameworks (DSA, DMA, GDPR, AIA, NIS2, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to thrive in an international environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to explore emerging areas of technology law
  • Full professional proficiency in
    English
    is required;
    Spanish
    is a strong advantage

Role Purpose:

Working as Legal Counsel you will work with the Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel in our Corporate Services Department to provide essential legal and compliance support to the organisation and its group companies.

Responsibilities:

  • General
    : Centrally involved in significant legal issues, transactions and litigation and managing complex legal matters, recognising when escalation is required to the Senior Legal Counsel and other key stakeholders. Keeping up to date with changes in legislation to ensure compliance.

  • Advice
    : Providing quality legal and commercial advice in relation to complex issues across the organisation, e.g. advice in relation to company law, data protection law, charity law, employment law and commercial best practice.

  • Contracts (including Data Processing Agreements)
    : Drafting, reviewing, amending, and negotiating contracts with Concern's partner organisations and suppliers and advising stakeholders in relation to key obligations and potential risks arising from contracts.

  • Governance:
    Providing support to the Company Secretary and Assistant Company Secretary of Concern Worldwide and group companies on legal issues. Assisting the Senior Legal Counsel with regular governance reviews to verify that governance structures are up to date, integrated and operating effectively, e.g. intra-group legal arrangements, governing documents.

  • Data Protection:
    Provide data protection legal advice and support to stakeholders.

  • Estates/Legacies:
    Assisting with managing and advising on any complex issues that arise in legacy cases where Concern is a beneficiary.

  • External Advice
    : Acting as the primary point of contact with external lawyers if external advice is necessary. Preparing legal briefs for external lawyers and managing the ongoing provision of external advice.

  • Resources
    : Improving internal resources and tools for stakeholders, e.g. template contracts, legal guidance.

  • Other
    : Providing support to the Senior Legal Counsel and the Chief Operations Officer on a number of ad-hoc projects.

  • Upholding and promoting Concern's values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion values.

Role Holder Requirements:

Essential

  • Primary degree (ideally in Law)
  • Solicitor, qualified in Ireland (or another common law jurisdiction)
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification relevant experience
  • Experience working as an in-house legal adviser
  • Experience in commercial law and best practice
  • Able to take a risk-based approach to legal advice
  • Able to solve complex legal issues
  • Interest in international development, humanitarian and charitable work
  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • Experience working in an international organization
