PERSON SPECIFICATION

Training, Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 5 completed modules of QQI level 5 (Major Award) Care Support or similar qualification is essential. QQI Major Awards that are deemed relevant to IWA are:

Community Health Services (to include minor components Safety Health at Work and Care Provision Practice)

Health Service Skills (to include minor components in Workplace Statutory Policies Procedures and Care Skills and Care Support)

Health Care Support (to include minor components Safety Health at Work and Care Skills and Care Support)

Youth Work (no specific minor components required)

Full Drivers Licence required prepared to drive Irish Wheelchair Association bus to transport service users.

Knowledge and Skills

Previous experience of developing and delivering projects or programmes

Previous experience of working with people with disabilities is required

Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations, as well as transport safety and standards of use is essential

Previous experience of driving transit vans to transport people with disabilities

Good organisational skills

  • The current pay scale is subject to a 9.25% pay increase over the next 2 years (up to October 2026), aligning with the recent WRC agreement aimed at enhancing pay adjustments within Section 39 organizations.

Salary range for this position is €15.37 to €17.11per hour DOE

Helpdesk Administrator

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and professional Helpdesk Administrator to join our Administration team. You'll be the first point of contact for facilities management requests, supporting both our on-site teams and clients. This is a key role where excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the first point of contact for facilities helpdesk queries.
  • Log, update, and close requests on our helpdesk system (CMMS).
  • Liaise with on-site FM, caretakers, and cleaning staff to ensure swift resolution of issues.
  • Manage work orders in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  • Analyse reports and ensure requests are progressed on time.
  • Support monthly reporting, invoicing, payroll, and accounts administration.
  • Raise purchase orders and process supplier queries.
  • Assist with audits, meetings, and contract administration.
  • Provide general office and admin support as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong administration and customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel – advanced, Word, Outlook).
  • Previous experience in a similar helpdesk or office administration role.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, make decisions, and work well under pressure.
  • Confident in bookkeeping, accounts processing, and reporting.
  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and professional approach.
