*Skills & Qualifications Required for the role; *

• 3 years plus experience in Senior Service HVAC Technician role.
• Experience working on large commercial projects.
• Proven experience with servicing HVAC equipment.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving ,diagnostic & ability to think on feet and meticulousness attention to detail.
• Self contained and the ability to work alone on some assignments
• Good Documentation practice.
• Excellent communication both verbal and written including influencing and problem solving skills.

Mechanical Shift Technician

Hours - Shift Role - The 24/7 Shift rota is:

• 4 on 4 off 6 block of days followed by 3 blocks of nights

Overview of the role:

Reporting directly to the Site Engineer, the post holder will work as a member of a small shift team (at times alone), and will be responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance, while operating plant in line with host site requirements and site procedures, as well as maintaining compliance with statutory, health, safety and environmental provisions. The Mechanical Technician (Shift) will be required to operate, maintain and assist in improving industrial Water Treatment plant, Ammonia Refrigeration plant, Waste Water Neutralisation treatment, C02 generation, Nitrogen generation, Compressed air, Cooling Towers, Water systems and Steam and Electrical distribution. The individual will contribute to maintaining operating procedures and safety procedures together with using and maintaining accuracy of the electronic data systems and on-site Scada (Sembyc), document management system (Know How), communication system (Email) and maintenance management systems (Pragma, CAMMS or SAP)

Day to day of the role:

• Operating the plant to ensure compliance with appropriate safety and environmental standards, and statutory requirements.
• Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant commercial performance, availability and reliability is maintained to SLA targets.
• Application of Safe Systems of Work, such as Putting People to Work, Authorisation to Work, and site Safety Rules, which may include taking on the duties of Safety Controller, Designated Person, Issuer and Acceptor roles as required by the location manager.
• Identify and repair where practicable Plant & control faults.
• Record all identified plant and control faults. Using shift log and CAMMS
• Application of operational, maintenance and safety systems and documentation for the plant incorporating relevant site safety standards, including carrying out the duties of Safety Controller/Safety Designated Person, Issuer and Acceptor roles as required by the location manager.

Required skills for this role:

• Be a qualified crafts-person in Mechanical Fitting and Welding or equivalent;
• Have at least 5 years proven experience in a particular craft discipline;
• For technicians with a core skill of mechanical fitter, be capable of demonstrating knowledge of core craft skills in an industrial environment. Demonstrating appropriate core skill in dismantling, assembling, alignment and testing/re-commissioning of gearboxes, Process pumps, compressors, valve and pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
• Have a working knowledge of Low Voltage switchgear and distribution systems and plant instrumentation and how they interface with the mechanical plant;
• Be capable of carrying out the function of Grades 1 & 2 technicians as part of normal site activities;
• Be capable of carrying out local isolation on all services appropriate to core craft skills;
• Be capable of identifying hazards and develop method statement for their maintenance activities within the core craft skills;

The Mechanical shift technician is responsible for monitoring, operating and first line maintenance of the Utilities equipment in a cGMP environment, in the relevant area and in accordance with relevant site Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering Work Instructions. The shift technician is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day shift tasks as per the shift Lead requirements.

• Monitoring relevant control systems for GMP and Non GMP alarms.
• Responsible for escalation of alarms in accordance with relevant escalation procedures and SOP's.
• Investigating alarms as per relevant procedures.
• Operating utilities equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Operating utilities equipment to maintain high standard of plant uptime in support of Contract KPI's.
• Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with site maintenance procedures.
• Carrying out technical investigation.
• Carrying out field round's and readings of utilities equipment.
• Participate in maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety.
• Review permit to work before signing off.
• Act as lockout coordinator for Control of Hazardous Energy.
• Work with vendors and third-party contractors as required.
• Collaborate with maintenance and calibration teams on the execution of scheduled calibrations, corrective and preventative work as required to meet contact deliverables.

• Apprenticeship or 3rd Level qualification with mechanical experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical utilities or process maintenance.

• Worked in a Pharmaceutical, Brewery, Dairy and Food Industry.
• Worked in a regulated Industry (FDA, IMB, NSAI)
• Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for a wide range of plant equipment: Proven capability of working with Pumps, HVAC systems, Air Compressors, Steam Boilers and Steam Systems ancillary services, Domestic Hot Water, Refrigerant Chillers, Cooling towers, Clean Steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, Sterilization Systems, Low Voltage electrical systems, PLC's, Building Management Systems (Honey well, Emerson Delta V), Understanding of Basic Instrumentation.

Position Summary
BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking an experienced Engineering professional to join the Drug Product maintenance team. Reporting to the
Manager, Drug Product Maintenance,
the Shift Technician will assist in delivering a safe working environment for our colleagues and a reliable plant to ensure continuity of supply of medicines for our patients.

The Shift Technician will be tasked with initially supporting the facility during project phase, supporting equipment installation and commissioning - from initial specifications to final handover. Support will transition from project phase to operational phase to ensure a successful startup and commercialization of the facility, including GMP readiness and New Product Introductions.

The Maintenance teams will also focus on complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.

The Shift Technician will also support their manager in ensuring that the Drug Product Maintenance teams objectives are aligned with the wider Engineering and Site Objectives. They will be part of a multi-functional team charged with commissioning of the significant capital investment and upon completion of the project, they will support the sustaining operation on site.

This position will be initially on days but will move through various shift patterns as the project progresses to full commercial manufacture.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with the project & CQV team to facilitate delivery, validation, and safe operation of equipment associated with Vial/Syringe filling and inspection.
• Ensure any maintenance and calibration activities are executed in compliance with all Regulatory requirements including Quality (cGDP/GMP's), EHS, Global Engineering procedures, as well as all Local Regulatory requirements.
• Understand and interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs.
• Use your knowledge of sterile fill/finish process equipment to support Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, Validation, and EHS for deviation investigation, change controls, and CAPA's.
• Manage CMMS work requests/work orders, including generation, processing, tracking and follow-up. Ensuring all Work Orders are completed on time and in a safe and compliant manner, and asset management data is captured accurately.
• Assist in advanced troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems. Including, but not limited to, diagnosis and fault-finding of automation and controls.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any equipment failures / issues that may arise and provide guidance and solutions for preventative action where required.
• Execute planned maintenance routines including predictive, preventative and calibration activities.
• Understand and implement HSA and Safety requirements of Maintenance teams and how they apply in normal sustaining operations or major shutdown/overhaul situations.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Planners and EHS.
• Work with Quality team ensuring the team support all deviations, change controls CAPA's in a timely manner.
• Work with the EHS team to ensure Safety related Investigations and CAPAs are closed on time and with correct engineering rigor applied.

Required

• A multi-skilled individual with craft qualification in Electrical, Instrument or combined trades.
• Experience with a site start up and handover from CQV to Sustaining Operations, from a maintenance perspective.
• Experience in a regulated biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, facilities maintenance or FMCG facility is required.
• Proven ability to prioritize maintenance activities and resources to achieve a safe and reliable site.
• Experience of operating and faultfinding PLC based control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence work cross functionally in a matrix environment during startup and into commercial manufacture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined, cross functional team.

Job Summary

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Performs feeder maintenance, repair and data tracking.
