The Role
Due to our continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Service Technician to join our Service team working both in Ireland and Northern Ireland. In the role of Service Technician you will provide onsite customer technical support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with customer requirements
- Carry out start-up / installation / commissioning
- Competently troubleshoot, fault-find and carry out repairs to equipment as required
- Support customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments in order to improve product performance with a view to increasing the level of customer satisfaction
- Provide on-site customer instruction in the application, maintenance and operation of the products
- Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance as required
- Create Service Reports on work completed for sign off
- Responsible for proper preparation prior to responding to any field request, including but not limited to; travel requests, security information, checking of records, installation records, required tools etc
- Adhere to site rules and participate in customer site inductions
- Comply with all requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports, expense reports and all other documentation in line with internal procedures
Experience & Education
- Experience in a similar role will be a distinct advantage
- Ideally have an Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Qualification
- Have a strong fault-finding ability
- Demonstrate a good understanding and appreciation for the requirements of a Service Engineer delivering excellent customer service and taking ownership and accountability for this
Role Requirements
- Willingness to travel to client sites in the designated territories (Ireland and UK) and at short notice. Frequent travel for extended periods is required
- Must be physically able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, move equipment
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Must have a valid passport, clean driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles
- Safe Pass (full training will be provided)
- Must be computer literate and operate basic Microsoft Office programs.
Service Technicians are required to travel frequently every month throughout the month. Due to locations and customer scheduling, Service Technicians may be required to travel on weekends, or stay-over during weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in using PDF's cutting-edge eProbe
- Perform startup activity with limited support from HQ.
- Perform preventative maintenance of tool and attend to equipment issues with quality fixes/repairs.
- Maintain local parts inventory and order replacement parts.
- Actively respond to tool issues by communicating with HQ engineers and participate in escalation conference calls.
- Verify operational quality of the tool after scheduled preventive maintenance is complete.

Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering, Science (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level.
- Must have hands-on experience working with vacuum systems (turbo molecular pumps, ion pumps, roughing pumps), specifically in the high and ultra-high vacuum region.
- Experience with scanning electron microscopes, SEMs, preferred but not a requirement.
- Must have experience as a Field Service Engineer working with, installing or servicing 300mm capital equipment.
Nice to Have

Pay Range: EUR €40, EUR €75,000.00 /Yr.
