Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA), who will create and implement a strategic and proactive talent acquisition strategy with full executive buy-in and participation to ensure that AbbVie recruits the strongest talent for Ireland.
In this role, you will lead, coach and mentor a team of high-performing TA professionals who are responsible for early careers and experienced recruiting across operations and commercial business for six locations (Dublin, Sligo, Westport and Cork).
What will you be responsible for:
+ You will set the vision, strategy and goals for all aspects of talent acquisition across Ireland.
+ Lead, coach and develop the Ireland TA team while improving capability and delivering on hiring needs across Ireland for full life cycle recruiting.
+ Partner with our business leaders, business HR partners and Centres of Excellence (CoE) such as Total Rewards, Talent Management, Talent Deployment and eedi to deliver the TA strategy.
+ Compile and communicate the knowledge base, industry overviews, market trends, and company initiatives to team members and business leaders. Develop and implement comprehensive Human Capital Response Plans to meet business objectives.
+ Lead effective recruiting processes, practices and standards providing high quality experience for candidates and hiring managers so that we can attract top talent and develop a strong qualified candidate pool.
+ Provide a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership, building solid relationships with key partners across the organization that yield consistent process and impactful results. Use data and market intelligence to provide consultative guidance.
+ Regularly assess future talent needs and partner with business and finance to ensure appropriate budgeting is in place to support recruiting demand.
+ Additionally, job functions would include pre-screening candidates, project management in various functional areas at any given time, partnering with global team members to develop sourcing strategies and qualifying talent for hire for potential.
+ Ensure compliance with state/federal employment laws and AbbVie policies and practices for applicant tracking compliance and reporting metrics.
Qualifications
So, what education and experience do you need?
You will have
-A relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7+ years recruitment experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment with people leadership experience
-Must project a strong business presence and can instill confidence in clients and to deliver results.
-Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience.
- Relevant industry experience (healthcare, pharma etc.) recruitment experience strongly preferred.
-Experience in collaborating with a broader HR Organization in support of the business initiatives preferred.
-Experience in building strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
You will raise the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo, creating a learning environment, open to suggestions and experimentation for improvement.
