As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Care & Orchard Residential Care divisions, across Ireland for full time and part time Social Care Workers/Senior Support Workers vacancies available in the following counties: Cavan, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Waterford, Carlow. Working on a shift rota, you will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health, and wellbeing. Minimum of 39 guaranteed contracted hours per week, up to 48 hours on average. Rosters include 12 & 24 hour shifts Minimum Hourly Rate of pay: €16.77 Main Responsibilities: 1.Be accountable for supporting the day to day running of the service and responsible for the delivery of a person-centred approach to the support and care we provide. 2.Ensure that the residents personal plan is completed in line with regulations and standards provided. 3.Be committed to pro-actively supporting the people we support in their daily lives and choices. 4.Engage with families, clinicians and building links in the community. 5.Experience implementing positive support programmes. 6.Focusing on promoting independence and community integration. 7.Keeping up to date on knowledge relating to current social care policies and sectoral and national changes. 8.To motivate, support and encourage the people we support to engage in planned activities of their choice. 9.To take ownership and lead key working in consultation with the people we support, motivating them to engage in meaningful activities. 10.Supporting the care of the people we support such as personal care and providing a general overview of their everyday needs. 11.The role holder will be expected to work as part of a team, inclusive of supporting other staff members in relation to taking ownership of their workload. All staff are required to attend regular team meetings and engage positively in supervisions by Person in Charge. 12.Undertake required Health and Safety check and Risk Assessments and record and report effectively. 13. In consultation with medication policy upkeep the management and administration of medication. 14.Liaise with multi disciplinary teams, families and other relevant people pertaining to the people we support. 15. Flexible and willing to work shifts to meet the needs of the service rolling rosters, day and night shifts. 16. Undertake any other work which may arise within the scope of the role in order to meet the requirements of the service. About the Role Purpose of role The role of the Social Care Leader will work directly with the Centre Management Team to assist in ensuring the day-to-day management of the residential Centre. The Team Leader will be accountable to the Deputy Manager or/and the Person In Charge. Where both are absent, the Team Leader will be accountable to the Regional Director of Services. This will be achieved by providing frontline care to young people and developing and maintaining professional relationships with care staff as well as young people and their families. Care Worker Permanent Contract, 15 hours per week Location: Killeshin Residential Service, Sligo About the Role: To promote the development of independent living skills, and to assist service users in their daily living within a supported accommodation service, ensuring their safety and well - being at all times. What We're Looking For: * Third level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable (minimum QQI level 5 or equivalent). * Minimum 2 years previous experience of working with people with a disability. * A clear understanding of the philosophy of independent living and community integration will be required to be demonstrated. * Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential. * Experience of working with service users in a community environment. * Experience of providing appropriate supports to service users with relevant disability. * Experience of working within remote team environment. * Experience of facilitating a person centred plan. * Experience of promoting a focus on Health and Safety for both you and the service user. * Experience in maintaining relationships with stakeholders both within the service and externally in the community. Your Responsibilities: * To collate, assessment and intervention information and expertise for the purpose of developing an individualized community support service. * To document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes. * To ensure all interaction with clients is approached with dignity, respect, equality and incorporates choice. * To ensure delivery of a quality service by designing, implementing, and reviewing quality monitoring systems appropriate to requirements of each individual, providing personal assistance in all aspects of everyday living skills, carrying out any duties necessary to ensure the comfort and hygiene of clients. * To enshrine the concept of independent living to include and assist clients in the selection of their meal menu, in the cooking of their meal and eating, promoting personal choice at all times; and facilitating and enabling clients to integrate with the local community and access local resources. * Assist with the catering, cleaning and general domestic duties in client's homes. * To ensure the privacy and confidentiality of clients at all times. * To work within the stated policies and procedures of RehabCare. Additional Requirements: Hold a full, clean manual driving license for at least two years. Attendance at training as deemed appropriate by the management of the service. If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign. Salary starting from point 1 €29,374.77, €4.48 per hour, to point 5 ,489.47 (pro rata), .51 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
