About the Role

We are looking for a full time, technically savvy Software Tester to join our team. 

As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You'll conduct manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.

Responsibilities

As a software tester, you'll need to:

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with the team to build and document professional test plans and test strategies
  • Build and Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
  • Reporting of bugs and errors to development teams
  • Deal with cross functional teams to ensure product quality
  • Providing assistance with troubleshooting issues
  • carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
  • test in different environments including web and mobile
  • assess code
  • Improving the system quality by providing  objective feedback to software development project teams

Requirements

  • Relevant technical diploma or degree in computer field
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in software quality assurance  environment , or similar field
  • familiarity with the Git repository and basic commands
  • familiarity with the Docker software and/or ability to run tests on updated branches locally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders

This role will focus on testing Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal software to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with business requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating new features, identifying defects, and supporting the release of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for POS terminal software.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing across various POS platforms.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Validate software against business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Participate in release planning and provide input on test coverage and risk assessment.
  • Document test results and provide clear feedback to stakeholders.
  • Provide 3rd line production support for the POS estate
  • Creation of user guides and product documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in software testing, ideally within POS or payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with UAT and working directly with end users or business teams.
  • Familiarity with EMV, contactless payments, and terminal certification processes is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Desirable Qualifications:

  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of payment industry standards and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS).

Location

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive UAT and QA Software Tester to join our team in Arklow.

We're currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and oversee food safety, hygiene, and compliance practices across all our locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the production kitchen team to ensure all retail products meet food safety and quality standards
  • Manage and maintain the HACCP system, including documentation and implementation across the production kitchen, restaurant, and food market
  • Monitor hygiene records and ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
  • Conduct regular audits across all sites (production kitchen, restaurant, and food market)
  • Train and support kitchen staff in food safety procedures and hygiene best practices
  • Identify risks and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with health and safety authorities and external auditors as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience, ideally in a supervisory or quality-focused role
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Confident in conducting audits and addressing non-conformities
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across different teams
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • EU Category B (van) driving license – for site visits and audits
