Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist to join our central Sourcing team. Collaborating with different teams across the island of Ireland business, our task is to assist in procuring products for our Own Brand (OB)/ Private Label (PL) ranges. This role will enable the successful candidate to gain foundational experience in sourcing and the value chain. The successful person will be responsible for the contract management element of the sourcing process as well as support/manage a number of projects across different categories, learning about tendering, negotiation, contracting, strategy development, for OB/PL in Musgrave, in securing the product required at the appropriate specification, with the right supplier at the lowest cost.

What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the contracting process for all OB/PL products contracted.
- Assist in managing the tendering, negotiation, and contracting of the required Own Brand products with the appropriate required quality with the right supplier whilst helping to minimise costs.
- Assist in identifying and delivering cost-effective solutions for Musgrave Own Brand/Tertiary products across retail and wholesale.
- Assist in managing and supporting your respective categories for Buying Group-led projects through all stages of the tender process to deliver the required products with the appropriate required quality with the right supplier at the lowest cost.
- Promote simplification by continuously, and constructively, challenging current ways of working, with the objective of developing a simpler, faster, better business.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, and with existing and new suppliers.
- Support in analysing and evaluating market intelligence and supplier/competitor trends to optimize sourcing.
- Assist in building the annual savings budget for your respective categories and provide business updates monthly, quarterly, and annually versus budget.
- Support commercial projects/explorations as and when they arise.
- Ensure compliance with Musgrave policies, standards, and processes.
- Requirement to travel approx. 5-10%

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Contracts Specialist to join our Procurement function. This role will be pivotal in leading sourcing initiatives, negotiating vendor agreements, and optimising supplier relationships to support cost savings and vendor base transformation across the Speed Fibre Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle—from strategic sourcing and vendor performance management to renewals and procurement operations—ensuring value delivery, compliance, and business continuity.
The role will be on a temporary basis for a 16-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to reduce spend, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable cost savings across the vendor portfolio.
- Foster strong vendor relationships while maintaining a commercial focus on cost reduction and value creation.
- Lead the transformation project of vendor consolidation and rationalisation projects across the Group to optimise vendor base.
- Lead sourcing initiatives and negotiations for new vendor agreements, renewals, and extensions, securing the best possible terms on pricing, service levels, and contractual obligations.
- Proactively manage contract lifecycles, ensuring timely renewals and mitigating risks of supply disruption.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, governance standards, and internal procurement policies.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and delivery schedules.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address vendor performance issues and escalate where necessary.
- Support group-wide initiatives to standardise procurement practices and deliver economies of scale.
- Conduct spend analysis and market benchmarking to inform sourcing strategy.
- Participate in transformation projects aimed at optimising procurement processes, tools, and reporting.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement/contract role
- Experience in the Telecommunications /ICT market particular SME preferred
- Third level qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain Management / Business.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with good communication skills.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with customers, colleagues, contractors, vendors, third party distributors and multiple stakeholders, forming effective relationships.
- Previous experience of change management a distinct advantage.
- Experience with Salesforce, Business Central, Oracle ideally

About The Position

Requirements
- Education - Degree in Business. Management, Finance or relevant experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in vendor management or a similar role focused on building relationships
- Experience working across multiple regions and cultures is advantageous
- Strong financial acumen, negotiation, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly motivated, with exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Meticulous and quick learner with a "can do" attitude
- A positive and solutions focused mindset is necessary for this position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Jira - Kanban, WorkDay
