We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Enable Ireland CDNT 2 & CDNT 7 Based in Tallaght & Ballyboden We are open to recruiting either: One full-time Senior Speech and Language Therapist (1 WTE) who would split their time between CDNT 2 and CDNT 7, or Two part-time Senior Speech and Language Therapists (0.5 WTE each), with each therapist being dedicated to one team (CDNT 2 or CDNT 7). Contract Type: Permanent Contract Hours: 0.5WTE (17.5hrs) allocated to each CDNT OR 35 hours Salary Scale: €57,771 to €68,385 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments) This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service. Overview of the Post: Enable Ireland delivers children's services under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. As a Lead Agency within this model, Enable Ireland has responsibility for the delivery of services to children assigned to Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNT) within designated network areas. Services are provided in accordance with legislative and service delivery frameworks and requirements, within the resources allocated. As a senior member of the interdisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for the provision of Speech and Language services, including assessment and intervention to children and adolescents enrolled on the CDNT. Services will be provided across a variety of settings including the clinic, schools, preschools and special schools, children's homes and community settings. Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Speech Therapists Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapist Registration Board at CORU ( And ii. Have three years full time (or an aggregrate of three years) post qualification clinical experience And iii. Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office And iv. Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech and Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapist Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued Annual Registration i. On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech and Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapist Registration Board at CORU And ii. Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the Enable Ireland Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience of working with children with a range of disabilities / developmental delay and their families. Experience in conducting Assessment of Need. Experience of working with children aged 0 - 18 years and their families. Relevant current experience prescribing and monitoring equipment based on children's' needs Full driving License with access to own transport Desirable Criteria: Experience of interdisciplinary team working. Our client is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved practice dedicated to providing high-quality psychological care across the UK and Ireland.

They provide high-quality services to clients across the UK and Ireland, including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children as well as expert witness assessments for the courts and parole boards, assessments in criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. They have a proven track record of providing high quality assessments and delivering on HSE / NHS contracts.

The Role:

This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy service, providing invaluable assessments to families and adults. This is a hybrid or remote role for suitably qualified clinicians working within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for children referred for autism and/ or ADHD assessments via HSE / NHS Patient choice and their GP.

Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely. Multiple roles- both remote and hybrid roles are available to attract candidates with differing levels of experience and geographical locations- including senior roles. For hybrid roles the candidate must be able to travel to one of their locations in Dublin.

The role requires conducting comprehensive specialist assessments including diagnostic assessments of individuals with suspected autism and/ or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. Assessments of mental health conditions may also be required. Assessments are undertaken on behalf of the HSE / NHS via GP referral.

The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, as well as providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Additionally, the clinician may be involved in supervising and supporting junior staff members depending on experience.

Qualifications:

CORU / HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist

Must be eligible to work in Ireland.

Experience in conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/ specialist developmental assessments with children and young people

Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting

Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD

Knowledge of differential diagnosis

Ideally ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience in report writing and record keeping

Additional qualifications in relevant areas of autism and/ or ADHD

Clinical Supervision integral to the role
