Role description:
Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis' core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10–12-week internship or 12 month placement.
Role accountabilities:
Joining a multidisciplinary team, you will support our clients with their needs covering aspects such as HVAC, mechanical, architectural, process, electrical, commissioning, validation, and construction management services, across the industrial and semiconductor sectors. As a HVAC Engineer you will support on key activities within HVAC/Building Services design. This will include supporting activities and projects across areas such as Energy Saving Review and Implementation, HVAC from basic ventilation systems to Grade A clean rooms, Chilled/Cooling water, Heating Hot Water/Heat Pumps, Steam and Condensate, Compressed Air and CHP.
- Accepted degrees: BEng or MEng in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Role accountabilities:
Joining a multidisciplinary team, you will support our clients with their project needs covering aspects such as architectural, process, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, validation, and construction management services, across the industrial and pharmaceutical sectors. The design work will include electrical power, instrumentation, and building services across a range of pharmaceutical and industrial projects. You will be involved in the design and development of schematic diagrams and protection schemes for site electrical power distribution equipment and systems as well as creating semi-conductor tool install design packages, maintaining utility services matrix and/or databases and carry out design calculations for cable-sizing, short circuit calculations, lighting calculations, power balance studying, and arc flash for all electrical systems.
- Accepted degrees: Level 7 Electrical Engineering and above

Customer Service: deliver exceptional experiences by confidently handling reservations, resolving enquiries, and building rapport with a diverse range of customers.

Financial Control and Profitability: understand the financial mechanics of a successful business, including cost control and interpreting profit and loss statements.
Operations and Logistics: learn how to manage a fleet, plan strategically, and drive performance.
Leadership and Development: Take the lead in mentoring, training, and developing your own team - with the opportunity to manage and promote others as you grow.
Qualifications- We accept applications for our Management Placement and Internship Programme from all undergraduate university students regardless of university attended and subjects being studied. Our assessment is based on how you perform against our competencies and will judge you on that alone.
- You must have a full manual Republic of Ireland, UK or EU driving licence, but we do make accommodations for applicants who don't drive due to a disability.
- No drug or alcohol related offence on driving record within the last five years is permitted.
