**The Opportunity**
Our Interns provides a meaningful, professional, hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. We hire students majoring in (Supply Chain) into our programs based on business needs. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

**What are we looking for?**
Eligible applicants should be:
+ Available for a 6, 9 or 12month placement to start between January to June 2026 (aligned with academic work placements dates)
+ Internship placements may be during or at the end of your undergraduate or post graduate course.
+ Pursuing a relevant third level undergraduate or post graduate qualification in Supply Chain / Business Studies a discipline listed above.
+ Candidates must be tracking to or have a minimum of 2.1 Grade in their undergraduate course.

Join our team as a Supply Chain Planner on our Sligo Manorhamilton Rd site in a 12-month fixed term contract, where you'll play a vital role in optimizing product availability and managing the flow of products and materials. Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize inventory, minimize stockouts, and reduce lead times.
+ Create accurate demand forecasts and inventory plans.
+ Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams for timely delivery.
+ Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement improvements.
+ Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.

**Description**
As part of our ongoing development and organisational changes, Abbott has identified a Supply Chain Planner role, please note this position is a 1 year Fixed Term Contract. This exciting position provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work across all business functions with the main focus being to provide support within the ID DM team as directed by their immediate manager.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
+ Work cross functionally with Supply Chain personnel, Purchasing, Transport, Customer Service, Quality, Warehouse and Inventory to support ID DM's Supply Chain activities.
+ Utilisation of experience within Supply Chain operations to support the successful completion of tasks assigned.
+ Support the management of projects whether these be large or small, complex or straight forward in order to deliver success in timeframes stipulated.
+ Ability to analyse data and provide insight in a meaningful way with a desire to drive cost improvements, strengthen compliance, increase efficiency of existing processes and achieve positive outcomes.
+ Ensure conformance to ISO9001 & ISO13485 in relation to process and document control procedures as stated in the Quality Management System. Drive supplier and process improvements through the Agile quality system in the form of quality incidents and supplier corrective actions.
+ Engage with core team members to understand key elements of their roles and be able to provide cover in periods of absence but also to enhance internal business knowledge.
+ Collaboration with third party vendors as required.
+ Demonstrate flexibility within this multi-disciplined role ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of progress and any obstacles.
+ Supply Chain tasks identified as this new evolving and exciting role develops.
**Requirements**
+ Third Level Degree or equivalent in Logistics Supply Chain or similar preferred.
+ 3+ Years Supply Chain / Logistics experience.
+ Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, Power-Point Outlook, Project and SAP would be an advantage
+ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
+ To facilitate the interaction with sites on different time zones, occasional out of hours working required.
+ Excellent communication skills (written & verbal across cultures)
+ Highly numerate with an aptitude for analysis.
+ People management skills.
+ Ability to lead meetings (by phone, video conference and face to face) to drive results and build relationships.
+ Occasional travel as required (advance notice to be provided).

+ 5 - 7 years experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Management, Product Development, and / or Financial Management ideally gained in a complex matrixed environment.
+ Pharmaceutical industry experience a distinct advantage.
+ Project management and strategic execution with financial responsibilities and cross-departmental collaboration, including pipeline supply management is essential.
+ Proven experience leading, motivating and influencing teams and fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries.
+ Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders/partners.

Join our dynamic Supply Chain team as a Program Manager, where you will play a crucial role in leading strategic projects across our growing manufacturing site in Ballytivnan, Sligo. In this role you will drive initiatives that enhance efficiency and support new product introductions. This role will be key in driving initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and enhance efficiency. Responsibilities:
+ Lead Supply Chain strategic projects and deliver on agreed milestones that lead to improvements in overall performance
+ Drive initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and enhance efficiency.
+ Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and coordination of material introduction to ensure correct material availability to meet Program requirements
+ Provide forecasts to Category Managers for NPI to ensure timelines are achieved
+ Transition products from NPI phase to commercial planning
+ Establish robust Supply Chain Procedures to support NPI and commercial process
+ Provide SAP technical support and drive system optimization, analyze data and identify areas for improvement, track progress and report on performance
+ Support S&OP process and collaborate with CFTs to improve overall performance

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business.
+ 10+ years of planning experience in a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment.
+ Experience managing projects and demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and motivate cross-functional teams
+ Strong presentation, communication, and Microsoft skills.
+ Familiarity with AbbVie brands and products is a plus.
+ Demonstrates adaptability, effective communication, and relationship-building skills.
