Abbott Diabetes Care has opened a new site, in Kilkenny, that is at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology, to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.
**_MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE_**
Responsible for coordinating various supply chain projects and managing the flow of material for project, validation and engineering activities, while ensuring timely availability of resources and providing regular updates on project progress.
The role involves being an individual contributor that works under limited supervision while applying subject matter knowledge. The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, as well as external vendors & suppliers, to achieve these objectives.
**_MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- Lead various supply chain projects and provide regular status reports.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that material is available on time and in full
- Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete projects and tasks.
- Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
- Co-ordinate material requests for validation and engineering runs.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project updates, material supply and inventory levels.
- Participate in cross-functional projects including new product introductions (NPIs), process improvements, and system implementations.
**_QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE_**
- Minimum NFQ Level 7 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- SAP experience preferred
- Excel experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project Management experience preferred.

Escalate critical shortages or delays and recommend solutions (e.g., prioritizing SKUs, expediting deliveries). Identify new sales opportunities by spotting gaps in competitor supply and leveraging available stock. Provide ad hoc support to customer queries in a timely manner. Quality & Technical Support Maintain ERP master data, ensuring commercial data (prices, lead times, MOQs, packing specs) is up to date. Support accuracy of technical datasheets and product information per SKU. Place purchase orders based on technical/engineering requirements, ensuring correct versions are ordered. **Main Purpose of the Role**
The Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance and continuous improvements for business processes relating to Customs and Import Compliance. Primary responsibilities include managing the Import Trade Compliance, Site Coordinator, Certified Classifier and GDS reporting. There will also be some Logistics support required to assist with RDIL fulfilment activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Manage import/export process and develop effective internal controls to ensure site compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
+ Act as subject matter expert and advisor regarding compliant importation and exportation of goods, staying abreast of new import/export regulations and programs that may impact the business.
+ Act as a Certified Classifier to ensure the correct classification of all RDIL's products within the EU.
+ Act as support for RDIL's site co-Ordinator
+ Provide technical guidance to assist in the proper management of international projects.
+ Participate in maintaining site compliance with special trade programs, including AEO, Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), etc.
+ Collaborate on Compliance Improvement Plans, as needed, to address and correct issues identified during corporate import/export compliance assessments.
+ Carry out the process for transactional review/audit of all import/export records.
+ Maintain relationships with carriers and brokers to resolve broker/freight issues to maintain timely product flow in the supply chain.
+ Work with other departments including warehouse operations, finance, purchasing, Customer Services, that are involved in import/export activities, .
+ Maintain proper import/export recordkeeping controls to ensure compliance with the requirements of 19CFR and 15CFR
+ Logistics activities as per RDIL processes and procedures - SharePoint logs, interaction with service providers, and shared mailbox management.
**Education & Competencies**
+ Bachelor's degree required, business, logistics/transportation, or another related field.
+ Minimum 3 years' experience in import/export operations, international business or another related field.
+ Good working knowledge of Logistics - preference for experience in fulfilment using multiple modes of transport (courier networks, air freight and sea freight). Candidate will able to book, price and monitor shipments.
+ Sound analytical abilities and familiarity with enforcement of internal controls required.
+ Knowledge of AEO, Taric and EU embargoed and Sanction regulations applicable to the medical device industry preferred
+ Must occasionally use judgment to determine when strict enforcement of requirements vs. exploring compliant alternatives as appropriate.
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.
+ Effectively driving for results is a key competency Ability to implement compliance processes in areas outside department structures to ensure compliance with regulations.

AbbVie Cork is a dynamic Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) site, producing a diverse portfolio of innovative technologies and products.
We are currently sourcing a Supply Chain Manager to join our site leadership team, reporting to our Site Head. The Supply Chain Manager leads all supply chain and warehouse activities related to supply of current products and new product launches.
This includes coaching and mentorship of an experienced and skilled team across Demand Management and Supply Levelling, Master Scheduling, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), and Warehouse/Storage management.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or science with 5 years plus experience in supply chain management.

+ OPEX Black / Green belt certified preferably
+ Experience in engaging, collaborating, and influencing at senior leadership level

Are you a Supply Chain Planner looking for a new opportunity? joining their team on-site in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for supply chain planning, understanding the demand volatility and supply chain lead times. The ideal candidate will also have proven and proficient experience in data formulation within Excel. CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the setting of the correct levels of inventory within the supply plan by understanding the demand volatility and supply chain lead times. Specifically, the creation of a safety stock strategy and plan that enables continuity of product availability at the optimal level of cash investmentResponsible for the creation of a Master Resource Plan based on the latest demand signal to cover what needs to be produced or purchased as a finished product and to ensure that within the process there is sufficient raw materials and components to support the required supply plan up to a 24-month time horizonResponsible for the creation of capacity plans based on the latest demand signal, to identify where there is any potential bottlenecks or risks to supply and to develop and recommend appropriate proposals to mitigate and to ensure that the plant or 3rd party can meet the future demand. We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join our Supply Chain Team.
This well-structured programme will offer the successful graduate an opportunity to build on their recent qualifications and gain excellent, relevant on the job experience to assist their career progression.
This is a 22-month contract where you will learn and spend time experiencing aspects of our Supply Chain function including our Customer Service, Planning & Logistics teams. On completion of the program, successful candidates will be ready for a Supply Chain position. These positions will be commencing in January 2026.
**What you will do for us**
+ Support the team on a wide range of process Initiatives activities in line with our Supply Chain strategy.
+ Engagement with our key stakeholders to ensure timely follow up on all communications and requests.
+ Support our digital transformation journey & apply operational excellence tools and techniques to continuously improve our processes and eliminate waste.
+ Perform adequate checks on our processes and standards to drive improvements in our cost structure and flexibilities in supplies.
+ Support the metrics, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance to plan by gathering information from plant and inventory systems.
+ Maintaining our procedures & guidelines- ensure our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are up to date and in compliance with our company standards.
+ Support the team with other ad hoc duties as required.
**Education Requirements, Skills & Work experience**
+ Recent bachelor's degree or master's graduate (2024/2025) in Business specializing in either business administration, finance, or data analytics preferable.
+ Business proficiency in English an additional European language is an advantage.
+ Work experience (Internship) within a Supply Chain environment would be an advantage.
+ Excellent aptitude for data and technology with strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
+ Curious, motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
+ Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work according to tight deadlines.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively & concisely.
