We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Manufacturing client based in County Clare who has a strong heritage of community engagement and social responsibility.

This newly created role of
CSR Executive
offers an exciting opportunity to support and help drive the company's CSR strategy. Working closely with the CSR Manager, you will play a key role in managing, co-ordinating, and promoting a wide variety of social impact initiatives, ensuring positive engagement with stakeholders and meaningful outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the CSR strategy.
  • Assist in managing CSR initiatives from initial funding requests to project execution and follow-up.
  • Identify and co-ordinate new CSR opportunities and partnerships.
  • Engage with charities, local authorities, and community groups to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Represent the company at community events and ensure brand visibility across supported projects.
  • Oversee the organisation and execution of CSR-related events.
  • Develop tools and metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of CSR initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of community engagement, social responsibility, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in CSR, community programmes, events or stakeholder engagement (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Event management or co-ordination experience.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate about social impact, community engagement and making a difference.
  • Knowledge of key local stakeholders, charities, and community networks is highly advantageous.

CRH is looking to hire a Sustainability Manager, to join their Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSR) & ESG Engagement Team, which is part of their Group Finance team. This individual will be highly organised, have excellent communication and numerical skills and can work in a high pressurised and fast paced environment. The role will be responsible for shaping CRH's corporate sustainability reporting disclosures, delivering key social and safety data (including human resources, human rights and safety outputs) and ensuring compliance with relevant reporting regulatory requirements and industry standards. Other key objectives will be identifying and delivering value-creation opportunities and efficiencies through the data collection process, responding to key stakeholder requirements, and developing appropriate reporting disclosures and positioning for investors and other external stakeholders.

You will be part of a dynamic team with diverse backgrounds—including accounting, environmental and social sciences, safety management, and engineering—where each member's unique skills are valued. The team fosters a collaborative environment that empowers individuals, supports career development, and promotes strong working relationships as we strive for excellence in sustainability reporting. This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Lead and contribute to the corporate sustainability reporting team in areas including data gathering, ESG reporting, data monitoring and compliance against key targets, policies, and strategies. Developing reporting systems to ensure compliance with regulations, best practice and third-party assurance.
  • Provide high quality analysis of data and working with other CSR & ESG Engagement team members to seek out, investigate and implement process efficiencies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for future sustainability reporting, ensuring CRH complies with evolving regulatory and meets stakeholder expectations as appropriate.
  • Explore and implement digital solutions to enhance sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
  • Support integration of sustainability considerations into CRH's governance and risk management frameworks, in particular the controls for social and safety data.
  • Stakeholder engagement:

  • Understand evolving expectations around sustainability performance reporting and recommend actions to help CRH achieve its strategic objectives.

  • Develop, maintain, and support key sustainability relationships across CRH, advocating for engagement and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills by building productive relationships and representing CRH in collaborative initiatives.
  • Create and deliver training and engagement materials for a range of stakeholder groups, including operating companies, data providers, consultant reviewers, group functions, and others

  • Compliance:

  • Lead compliance-related social data collection processes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. Lead social Double Materiality Assessment update to required standards including upcoming CSRD directive and coordinate with other CSR & ESG Engagement team members and stakeholders such as Group functions on requirements.

  • Support compliance readiness preparations including coordination with external auditors and participation in independent sustainability auditor visits. Limited travel is required in Q3/Q4 for sustainability audits.

  • Team management:

  • Understanding of the role and duties of line manager. Maintaining an effective team including motivating, empowering, and encouraging direct reports in their roles with a focus on their development and career goals.

  • Manage relationships, resource planning and deliverables with external sustainability consultants.
  • The role is dynamic and requires flexibility, with a mix of core responsibilities and evolving project-based activities that offer opportunities to gain diverse experience across the sustainability reporting landscape.

Education and Experience

  • Experience or education in the social aspects of ESG/sustainability and/or safety management would also be advantageous.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and use of databases is essential

Project & Program Manager, Sustainability

Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering the Equinix Operations sustainability program across multiple European countries (Finland, Ireland, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland) aiming to improve data centre energy efficiency primarily, but also other pillars such as renewable energy, water conservation, phasing out harmful refrigerants, and the circular economy. Ensuring that sustainability is advocated wider than technical solutions. Accountable for managing the interface between Country Operation teams, regional management, the EMEA PMO and EMEA-wide counterparts.

Accountabilities And Responsibilities
Project/Program Management and delivery

  • In conjunction with the subregional sr mechanical engineer, Data Centre managers and the Regional Sustainability Teams, hold responsibility for developing long-term (5 years +) sustainability programs per Data Centre, as per ISO
  • Support the Engineering dept and Data Centre managers to prepare and scope individual projects, including Project Charters, project breakdown on tasks and milestones, time schedules, identifying risks and issues.
  • Accountable for achieving subregional sustainability KPIs
  • Oversee the program delivery, report on progress vs target to sr management and implement change management based on business priorities
  • Support the country teams to correctly report on sustainability CAPEX spend, forecast, budget preparation, projects execution and timeline
  • Support Engineering colleagues and Data Center Managers in identifying and exploiting energy, carbon and water reduction opportunities associated with the planned replacement of End of Life critical assets.
  • Accountable for the preparation, submission and approval of business cases in a timely manner ahead of project execution
  • Monitor PUE/WUE on subregional and Country level and action on any inconsistency
  • Record case studies, best practices and lessons learned to influence global sustainability strategy
  • Be the contact person for any Sustainability initiative in the region and distribute the information to the Country teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • The role demands close collaboration with cross-functional departments and teams within the subregion, EMEA and global teams.
  • Build relationships with leaders of other departments to achieve mutual goals.
