We are seeking a Content Strategist to lead the organization and management of content for the Carbon Design System digital properties. This role will focus on owning the information architecture, structuring content, and unifying existing segmented assets into a cohesive experience. The ideal candidate will help define content management system (CMS) requirements, recommend platforms for documentation authoring, and create high-quality content that supports universal customer journeys, patterns, components, tokens, and more. **Your role and responsibilities**
Key Responsibilities

Own and maintain the information architecture and content hierarchy of the Carbon Design System digital ecosystem.

Organize and unify segmented content assets to ensure consistent user experiences across all customer journeys.

Audit and evolve existing content to improve usability, clarity, and consistency

Develop and maintain content standards, guidelines, and governance models.
*
Champion inclusive language and accessibility best practices across all touchpoints.

Lead guidance on content management system (CMS) requirements for documentation authoring.

Provide recommendations on selecting an appropriate CMS platform based on project needs.

Author clear, concise, and accurate documentation for patterns, components, tokens, and other design system elements.

Ensure quality control in documentation creation to maintain fidelity with established information architecture standards.

Use data and user feedback to inform content decisions and iterate on solutions.
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and product managers to align content strategy with overall site goals.

As an ICT Design Engineer you will be part of a global engineering team, comprised of highly effective Architects, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Engineers. AWS self-performs engineering on the majority of our capacity delivery projects.
Our AWS ICT Design and Engineering Team is a new fast-growing and leading-edge engineering team that is rethinking the design for the critical communications pathways that connect the various pieces of hardware inside AWS' data centers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for team members that can help us innovate delivery of ICT components, support our speed to market, raise the bar, and have a desire for professional growth and continuous learning. As part of this team you will work directly with engineers and managers across the company to develop connectivity solutions for the physical layer. Work with the rest of the design team to provide pathway and cabling designs and specification for construction and operation and finally with industry suppliers and manufacturers to develop product requirements and recommend new technologies.
Your task:
- Ensure timely delivery of scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications.
- Review and approval of ICT pathway, cable and equipment submittals.
- Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
- Support new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time.
- Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS' Data Centers.
- Having fun and offering a creative, out of the box solutions.

Basic Qualifications
- CNIDP (Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional)
- BICSI RCDD ( Registered Communications Distribution Designer ) Certification
- 5+ years Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design experience in Mission Critical Environments
- 5+ years of working experience with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products, technologies, and standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer Certificate
- Experience in Revit ,Auto-CAD or other Computer Aided Design Tools
- Experience in carrying new design concepts from exploration, concept, development, through deployment/construction
- Ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality, reliability, or maintainability
- Ability to prioritize & consistently deliver results in complex, fast-paced environment with experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe features, technical designs, and strategy
