We’re looking for a high-performing, experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, support, sales engineers, and solution architects to shape the future of the Fivetran Data Platform's reliability.

This is a full-time position based in our Dublin office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

As a member of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you will be responsible for the performance, scalability, and reliability of Fivetran’s infrastructure. You will own the robustness of our deployment pipeline and lead efforts to resolve and prevent incidents effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the ongoing reliability and robustness of Fivetran’s production infrastructure by monitoring availability, capacity, and throughput.
  • Driving reliability into the product roadmap by evolving existing systems and processes.
  • Partnering with engineering, support, and sales to prioritize and resolve critical bugs and incidents.
  • Recommending infrastructure improvements to ensure optimal availability and performance.
  • Automating scalable artifact deployments across all environments.
  • Monitoring and remediating infrastructure vulnerabilities in collaboration with the security team.

**Your role and responsibilities**
The Network Engineer role includes the following responsibilities:
· Receive and manage ticket escalations from other teams as well as various monitoring tools involving service-affecting issues.
· Troubleshoot, isolate and correct service-affecting issues on the network in areas including but not limited to: routing protocols, routers, switches, firewall administration, MPLS, BGP, VPN, load balancing.
· Plan, schedule, and implement network maintenance activities which include firmware upgrades, hardware replacement and network infrastructure augments/changes.
· As needed, implement approved routing policy changes/corrections to mitigate points of traffic congestion on the network due to planned or unplanned incidents.
· Work with network infrastructure/service providers to identify and correct causes of circuit disruption.
· Work with hardware vendors to determine causes of device failure/issues.
· Create network connectivity diagrams and other documentation of live network environments for internal and customer use.
· Incident management during critical events that impact the network, including internal and external communications, team coordination of repair and then root cause analysis efforts.
· Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
· Maintains high quality customer service to internal and external groups when needed.
This is a shift-based position with a 24/7/365 department. Individuals must be prepared to work a schedule of shifts that may include nights, weekends and holidays. You must be willing to work in an on-call situation.

**Role Description**
SMBC is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer who has a strong passion for Security Systems and is interested in building a career at a fast growing and reputable Bank. The Cloud Security Engineer will assist with various duties including installing and configure servers, storage devices, network and telecommunications equipment. You will perform upgrades and maintenance on all IT infrastructure hardware. You will be given opportunities to participate on installations and configure server operating systems, database software, file server structure and protocols, email servers, authentication servers, back-up systems and firewalls. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring system performance daily and provide support on all IT infrastructure-related issues. This role will report to the Team Lead of Security Cloud Engineering.
**Role Objectives**
+ Administration some of the following Security Applications (multiple required): Azure AD, WIZ, O365 (Security), Sentinel, Proofpoint, Google Cloud (GCP), AWS, Azure Data Bricks, O365 Messaging (Security), O365 Compliance Center, WORM, Defender for Cloud, Crowdstrike
+ Provision services and accounts for new users.
+ Manage software library and perform updates as needed.
+ Run monitoring and reporting utilities, operations logs and access auditing tools.
+ Monitor system performance daily and generate reports on key metrics such as storage capacity, server resource utilization, connectivity and uptime, back-up performance and incident logs.
+ Provide support on all IT infrastructure-related issues and escalation support for all other IT departments.
+ Collaborate incident response for any major outages.
+ Maintain disaster recovery systems and implement DR plans as needed.
+ Support other IT departments requiring additional expertise to resolve user issues or provide internal support on system performance or maintenance needs.
+ Coordinate incident response with all engineers and system owners during outages.
+ Engage with other IT infrastructure teams to install hardware, configure devices and policies, and perform upgrades and maintenance.

**Qualifications and Skills**
+ Demonstrate understanding of IT infrastructure hardware, cloud service platforms, operating systems, virtual environments and configuration tools.
+ Display familiarity with application integration, update and change management, database design and structures, system deployments and automated reporting and monitoring tools.
+ Exhibit knowledge of regulations regarding data security and retention, anti-virus tools and protection models, network security and access protocols
+ Show ability to support projects across multiple functions and divisions and coordinate incident response while providing clear communications to affected parties.
+ Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.
+ Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.
+ Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects, and goals.
+ Ability to utilize resources to contribute valuable input to Information Security projects and Risk Assessments, (e.g. ISACA, CIS, FS-ISAC).
+ Basic knowledge of security monitoring concepts.
