Verde Search are partnering with a highly respected, 'go-to' tax specialist and accounting firm based in south Dublin that have a leading work / life balance combined with an exceptional client portfolio. This is a newly created role to support the both new and existing clients to the firm.

You will start off as Tax Assistant Manager and then move to Manager at a pace that suits you and your ability (expectation would be circa 9-12 months).

As a Tax Assistant Manager you will:

  • Cover Income Tax, CGT, CAT, corporation tax as well as support in areas outside of your speciality
  • Work closely with Directors and Partners developing your expertise and knowledge

The Position

We wish to appoint a VAT Assistant Manager to work in our Tax Division. Working closely with the partners and the management team this role will involve the provision of practical and innovative tax planning solutions. The Position

We wish to appoint an Assistant Manager to work in our Corporate Tax Group. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a large portfolio of indigenous owner managed and internationally owned businesses, from a range of industries (technology, R&D, manufacturing, distribution), many of which have an international focus.   • Working with the Partners on advising clients on potential structures suitable for their business, transfer pricing and profit repatriations
  • Acting as a key member of an integrated client service team working on a wide range of assignments including tax advisory projects.

Principal Requirements

  • AITI qualified and a qualified accountant

  • In-depth knowledge and hands on experience in interpreting Irish Tax legislation, relevant commentary and case law and carrying out extensive tax due diligence.
  • Experience of operational supervision of assignments and managing of client relationships

About the opportunity:

Our Tax Department are looking for an Assistant Manager to join their team. This role will be based in the Cork Office and will report directly to the Tax Manager. This full-time role will be 37.5 hours per week.

As an Assistant Manager, you can expect your duties to include;

  • Preparation and review computations and returns across tax heads including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and capital acquisitions tax
  • Assisting managers to ensure compliance deadlines are met
  • Supporting junior staff development
  • Researching tax technical issues
  • Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners on tax advisory projects
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues in a timely efficient manner
  • Liaising with Revenue on our client's behalf to seek rulings on certain tax positions
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed and to identify opportunities to provide to existing clients

What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a Practice environment
  • Newly qualified CTA (1-2 years PQE)
  • Significant corporation tax experience in a Practice environment is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • A good level of IT literacy with a track record of using MS Office and tax software

  • Preparation of annual corporation tax charge
  • Analysing capital expenditure for the purposes of capital allowances
  • Review of excise duty returns and alcohol process throughout the company
  • International taxation reporting
  • Participation in internal and external tax audits
  • Evaluation and problem solving in respect of all VAT, custom & excise, corporation tax, and any other tax related matters as required

What you'll need

  • Third level degree (Business, Administration, Finance, Accounting, Taxation or Law)
  • AITI qualification (part or fully qualified)
  • Professional Accounting qualification desirable (part or fully qualified)
  • Minimum of 2 years' Irish tax experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm or multinational environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical with good attention to detail
  • German language skills are an advantage but not essential

About the opportunity:

Our
Tax Department
are looking for an
Assistant Manager
to join their team. This role will be based in the
Cork Office
and will report directly to the Tax Manager. This full-time role will be
37.5 hours per week
.

As an Assistant Manager, you can expect your duties to include;

  • Preparation and review computations and returns across tax heads including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and capital acquisitions tax
  • Assisting managers to ensure compliance deadlines are met
  • Supporting junior staff development
  • Researching tax technical issues
  • Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners on tax advisory projects
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues in a timely efficient manner
  • Liaising with Revenue on our client's behalf to seek rulings on certain tax positions
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed and to identify opportunities to provide to existing clients

What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a Practice environment
  • Newly qualified CTA (1-2 years PQE)
  • Significant corporation tax experience in a Practice environment is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • A good level of IT literacy with a track record of using MS Office and tax software
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with good initiative
  • Significant corporation tax experience in a Practice environment

We are seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated Assistant Tax Manager to join our Tax department. The Assistant Tax Manager will be responsible for the day to day tax functions for Lidl Ireland and Lidl Northern Ireland. We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate and collaborate in a positive and professional manner with all relevant parties. The Assistant Tax Manager will report directly to the Tax Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Operational preparation of Irish & UK tax returns to include corporation tax, VAT, RCT
  • Preparation of monthly P&L charges and balance sheet accounts to include corporation tax and deferred tax
  • Preparation of annual corporation tax charge
  • Analysing capital expenditure for the purposes of capital allowances
  • Review of excise duty returns and alcohol process throughout the company
  • International taxation reporting
  • Participation in internal and external tax audits
  • Evaluation and problem solving in respect of all VAT, custom & excise, corporation tax, and any other tax related matters as required

What You'll Need

  • Third level degree (Business, Administration, Finance, Accounting, Taxation or Law)
  • AITI qualification (part or fully qualified)
  • Professional Accounting qualification desirable (part or fully qualified)
  • Minimum of 2 years' Irish tax experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm or multinational environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical with good attention to detail
  • German language skills are an advantage but not essential
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage
