**Job Description**
Tax Manager role will be responsible for various aspects of UK and Foreign tax compliance, tax accounting and various transfer pricing projects.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Preparation/Review of domestic and international income tax compliance matters including the accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns, estimated tax payments.
+ Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end consolidated tax provision.
+ Perform/review monthly and quarterly account analysis, assist with projections for monthly outlook package and perform account reconciliations.
+ Assist with international and local tax audits.
+ Preparation/Review of Tax disclosure notes included within Financial Statements
+ Work on special projects and research complex tax issues with the above responsibilities
+ Work with both internal and external contacts.
+ Assist in preparation of global transfer pricing studies.
+ Assist with monthly and quarterly transfer pricing reviews.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (Preferred)
+ Required Tax Qualification (CTA)
+ 5+ years of accounting/tax experience, with a "Big 4" CPA firm desired
+ Solid background in corporate tax compliance, GAAP, and other related accounting standards and principles.
**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:**
+ Working knowledge and research skill on tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures, etc.
+ SAP or Oracle experience preferred
+ Attention to detail, accountability, self-starter and ability to take ownership.
+ Essential, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with all levels of the organization

Job Description
Key role in NetApp's international tax function supporting various projects across NetApp's organizational tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function.
**Job Requirements**
+ Support tax technical analysis, identification, and accurate reporting of EMEA and Latham region tax filings and reporting obligations.
+ Work closely with the US Tax, EMEA and Latham Finance teams to ensure complete and accurate tax reporting for US GAAP and local statutory financial statements.
+ Engage and collaborate with the finance function and key business unit stakeholders to develop an understanding of the business strategies and pro-actively support the business in driving opportunities in tax and ensuring tax implications of business strategies are understood.
+ Support audit defence activities across the region in close coordination with US based headquarter tax team colleagues and financial leadership
+ Provide transfer pricing related support from time to time as and when requested.
+ Liaise with external auditors and advisors on special projects and planning initiatives.
+ Ability to effectively plan, manage and prioritize work to timely and consistently meet objectives of multiple or competing priorities and projects
+ Support overseeing and communication of cash tax forecasting
+ Support overseeing and communication of stock-based compensation tax benefits.
+ Continuously identify efficiencies for the NetApp group and support the design and operation of efficient tax processes.
**Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience in a Big-4 firm or multi-national company.
- Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant designation required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a solutions-oriented and problem-solving focus
- Experience with MS Office, SharePoint and Oracle preferred

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with excellent communication and management skills who has the relevant tax technical expertise to effectively analyze the tax impacts of business transactions and projects and a proven track record in efficiently implementing and executing on projects and workstreams. The role is a key position for the business with exposure to senior management in the tax and broader finance teams.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Work closely with senior management and external advisors to effectively manage the planning, analysis and implementation of international tax projects
+ Lead tax planning projects such as IP planning, intercompany debt financing, restructuring of entities, organizational structure clean-up and elimination of entities. This includes modelling the tax rate impacts and review of associated legal documentation
+ Full responsibility for tax planning matters with respect to subsidiaries in a number of countries, working with internal finance teams and local external tax advisors
+ Partner with local and regional finance and tax reporting to ensure compliance with Amgen's international tax reporting and tax return obligations
+ Partner with local and regional finance and tax reporting to ensure compliance with Pillar 2 reporting obligations
+ Provide advice to the business on the corporate income tax considerations relevant to the location of various roles and global mobility
+ Work with advisors to prepare and review DAC6 and anti-hybrid analyses
+ Support the US GAAP quarterly and annual tax provision process and comply with related Sarbanes Oxley requirements
+ Analyze and interpret global tax advice from external advisors, working with the business and finance teams to implement
+ Serve as the tax representative on cross-functional project teams
+ Assist with identification of tax requirements relating to SAP S4 HANA implementation
+ Review jurisdictional accounting results and transfer prices to ensure results are in line with the policies and target profits of the Group
+ Review subsidiary Board meeting agenda items and minutes
+ Manage tax audits by tax authorities
+ Improve processes and drive efficiencies
+ Evaluate and advise management on the tax consequences of international legislative changes

**Skills, Education and Experience:**
+ AITI/CTA qualified or equivalent preferred
+ Qualified accountant preferred
+ 5-10 years of experience in Big Four or corporate in-house tax department highly desired.
+ Technical knowledge around international tax issues including Pillar 2, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing, GILTI, Subpart F, BEPS and OECD developments
+ Good knowledge of US GAAP and where relevant local GAAP relating to tax
+ Familiarity with tax software and tax research engines an advantage
+ Well organized with excellent attention to detail
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Self-motivated - able to work both individually and as a member of a team
+ Ability to manage workstreams in an effective and efficient manner and quickly adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong desire to develop and advance one's career within tax
