Tax Specialist - Part Time (22.5 hours p/w)
This role is based in Dublin - you must be a resident of the Republic of Ireland to apply and have the right to work in ROI already in place.
Prudential International Assurance plc ('PIA') is a leading international life assurance company that is part of the wider M&G Group that sells life insurance in the UK and Europe.
We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Tax Specialist to join the tax team. The Tax Specialist will report directly to the Tax Manager and make a direct contribution in dealing with operational tax risk in PIA. The role is also indirectly part of the wider M&G Group Tax team.
The tax team is part of the overall Finance team in Dublin that reports to the Finance Director and works closely with colleagues in Ireland, the UK and Poland. PIA has a positive, collaborative culture and this role offers the potential for reduced and flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Support with Corporation Tax, VAT and other Tax Compliance, including support with quarterly and annual Financial Reporting obligations
- Managing the FATCA and CRS requirements of the business including annual reporting in Ireland and for PIA UK branch as well as managing ongoing new business queries and building a robust model for AEOI in PIA
- Manage policyholder tax, operational tax requirements and related projects and keeping updated on policyholder tax changes
- Support the Operations and Commercial teams on operational tax issues
- Support PIA on project related tasks as needed
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in supporting tax compliance and with accounting for current and deferred tax
- Experience in FATCA/CRS and operational tax requirements in insurance or financial services and working on inter group projects preferred
- Ability to self-manage and also work as part of a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience of communicating and presenting effectively both verbally and in writing, both with tax and non-tax teams

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field

International Tax Compliance Manager Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for the end to end corporate tax compliance for a group of wide ranging Meta entities within EMEA. In this role you will partner with fellow tax colleagues, service providers and the wider international finance team to deliver timely and accurate corporate tax compliance
- Collaborate with our accounting colleagues to ensure the tax aspects, including the tax accounting of the statutory financial statements is correct
- Actively participate within the International tax operations optimisation team and ideally lead one of the many initiatives to achieve our Global Tax 2030 strategy
- Support the EMEA Corporate tax team with various initiatives including corporate tax audits and the support of operationalising any tax planning initiatives
- Partner with our US Tax colleagues for the US GAAP and US tax compliance including meeting our International SOX controls
- Demonstrated experience in EMEA corporate tax compliance
- Experience in analytical and project management
- Demonstrated experience of stakeholder management
- Evidenced success in collaborating and communicating with colleagues
