Technical Solutions Architect - €700-750 per day- Hybrid About the role A key Irish Government Regulatory Organisation is looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to join their team and play a key role in the delivery of a Digital Transformation program they currently have underway. The ideal candidate will have strong track record of Solutions design/delivery and a deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Technology Stack, in particular dynamics 365. They will also have excellent client negotiating/consulting skills along with some experience of working on an enterprise level architectural solution for a government/public sector organisation. This is a hybrid role, with the Solutions Architect required onsite approximately 2 days per week at our offices in South Co. Dublin, which may occasionally increase at key project junctures. + Working knowledge of cryptography, key management and security solutions on both mobile and server side with understanding of security protocols and cryptography including PKI, SSL, RSA, authentication, encryption, digital signatures;
+ Knowledge of emerging technologies such as rules, AI and Machine Learning;
+ Strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies as well as all functional areas in an IT organization. Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues;
+ Functional and technical specifications, coding and testing and / or application support including strong understanding of mobile and web app, security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps;
+ Demonstrated experience in both agile/scrum and waterfall life cycle application development
+ Experience and comfort in mentoring junior staff.

About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect who brings real-world architecture experience and excels in collaborating with engineers, designers and stakeholders. The role involves deeply understanding our tech stack (apps, SDKs, SaaS platforms, etc.) and applying that knowledge to design scalable systems that adhere to our design principles.

Responsibilities
  • Design robust and scalable architectures for systems (apps, SDKs, SaaS platforms, etc.) tailored to our tech stack, using systems-level thinking to structure components for reliability, scalability and maintainability.

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures.

  • Contribute to guiding development through code reviews, PoCs and skeleton structures.

  • Write and review technical proposals to ensure alignment with the agreed architecture.

  • Stay up to date with new tools, frameworks and ideas, and spot opportunities to improve our systems.

  • 5+ years in Technical Architect (or similar) roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript and C++.

  • Past experience developing or architecting successful and scalable applications. Experience with P2P is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of architecture principles, patterns and best practices, with ability to adapt to new stacks and tools.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication of technical ideas across diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in creating and managing architectural artifacts like diagrams, specs, and documentation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical challenges.

You will have responsibility for delivering high quality architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the Microsoft Business Applications Dynamics Customer Experience and AI platforms. Demonstrating deep knowledge of Microsoft Solutions and offerings across the entire life cycle, together with a critical focus on opportunity management, leadership and technical governance, this is your chance to drive transformational results and enable the realization of business strategy for Microsoft partners and customers.
This team works closely with the Microsoft product engineering and marketing teams for Modern Work, Business Applications, and Security to develop assets that help Microsoft develop partner capacity and scale towards accelerating usage of Microsoft Solutions.

+ COE Technical Pre-Sales and readiness - Work directly with partners to help drive technical pre-sales motions with Microsoft Business Applications / Power Platform Workshop Materials

+ Architecture Design and Deployment - Technical Solution Development: Developing technical solutions and ability to design, customize, or reapply technical solutions based on customer/partner needs or demands.
**Intellectual Property and Practice Development**
+ Generate new and/or improvements to existing intellectual property. Identifies which ideas should be culled and curate content to align with messaging and intent from the partner marketing team.
+ Creates new intellectual property based on requirements from our stakeholders.
+ Drives the re-use of intellectual property and recommends practices in both pre-sales and delivery.
+ Participates and contributes to internal/external communities.
**Trusted Advisor**
+ Develop a network of internal/external relationships to build influence in addressing problems/ blockers and facilitating additional views on the matter of interest. Stays up to date on Microsoft's technologies, products, and services in order to communicate Microsoft's mission, strategy, and capabilities.
+ Understand competitor solutions and identifies how customer business value can be driven through Microsoft's offerings. Steers the customer/partner conversations to the benefits of the solution rather than the features and functionalities.
**Thought Leadership**
+ Share ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft using a thorough knowledge of specific Microsoft products and their context in the competitive landscape.
+ Participate in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares learnings with internal team. Acts a mentor to junior colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.
**Qualifications**
**Skills Required:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND extensive experience in cloud, applications, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud technology domain (Dynamics / Power Platform / Azure/ GCP/ AWS)
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND solid experience in cloud, applications, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (Azure/ GCP/ AWS)
+ OR equivalent experience.   
+ Extensive experience in enterprise environments, with a strong background in solution architecture.
+ Proven expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, particularly focused on Business Central implementations and transformations.
**The Solution Architect should have the following core competencies:**
+ Has a solid functional and technical understanding of D365 line of business applications including D365 Service, Sales and Customer Insights.
+ Advanced Customization & Configuration: Ability to tailor Business Central using Power Platform tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
+ Integration Expertise: Skilled in integrating Business Central with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and third-party systems using APIs and connectors
+ AI-Driven Process Automation: Design AI-powered automation workflows using Power Automate, enhancing productivity and reducing manual intervention in business processes.
+ Experience in several complex migration projects from on-premises to cloud platforms for small and medium sized enterprise customers
+ Ability to lead a multidisciplinary technical team, provide clear direction and take accountability for technical project outcomes
+ Advanced technical selling and customer management skills are a requirement.
+ The role should have proven experience in a broad range of industry knowledge and at least 5 years implementation experience
+ Proven experience selling product and consulting engagements in competitive situations
+ Experience which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk
+ An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers
+ Working knowledge of specialized tools and solution providers whether they be Microsoft partners or competitors
+ Knowledge of full application life cycle design tools and methodologies
+ Exceptional demonstrated consulting skills
+ Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments

**Additional Qualifications:**
+ Domain experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions, and understanding of how Microsoft Security, compliance, and identity solutions can span across these solution areas to provide a holistic and end-to-end solution.
+ Experience writing or contributing to design documentation, leveraging Azure DevOps, and experience designing wireframes for custom apps.
+ Regular involvement in presenting complex technical topics to both an executive and a technical audience
+ Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of Cloud and/or hybrid messaging/collaboration/unified environments.
+ Identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems, process improvement, organizational change, or strategic planning and policy development.
+ Relationship Building. Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects. 
+ Collaboration and Communication: Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
**Technical Qualifications:**
+ Technical passion with good understanding of cloud architectural patterns leveraging managed, SaaS, and Platform-As-A-Service offerings, rearchitecting monolithic applications with cloud native technologies, related databases and modern DevOps/ DevSecOps practices.
+ Experience with competitive Application development services across public cloud (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, AWS, GCP, Oracle) is a plus.
