Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

Essential Job Function

  • Retrieve completed job cards from the Production Department in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify all required signatures, dates, and documentation are complete before processing.
  • Organise and maintain job cards in numerical order for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Perform scanning, photocopying, and filing of job cards, reports, and other departmental documents.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical filing system, ensuring documents are easily accessible.
  • Archive completed records in line with company document retention policies.
  • Accurately enter data into relevant planning and maintenance systems.
  • Generate and distribute reports to support production planning and maintenance tracking.
  • Monitor and manage stationery inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for departmental needs.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining NRC rectification reports for review and follow-up by engineers or planners.
  • Conduct regular CD Safe Storage audits to verify the security and accuracy of stored data or software media.
  • Support the Planning Department with general office administration, including correspondence, scheduling, and record keeping.
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards in all administrative work.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years administrative experience.
  • Proficient in use of MSOffice applications
  • Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent coordinating and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills, team-building skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

The Position

The Role

·   Support the Technical Manager in maintaining compliance with BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9, the BRCGS Gluten-Free Program, and customer standards.

·   Conduct internal audits, GMP inspections, traceability exercises, and routine product/packaging checks.

·   Manage microbiological, allergen, and organoleptic testing programmes; oversee environmental monitoring and sample submissions to external labs.

·   Investigate and close out customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.

·   Maintain supplier approvals, specifications, certificates of analysis, and packaging artwork records.

·   Manage 3rd party accreditations (e.g. Origin Green, Coeliac Society of Ireland) and contribute to certification reports.

·   Provide training for staff on HACCP, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.

·   Support NPD/EPD projects through validation trials and label/specification updates.

·   Provide cover for the Food Safety & Quality Technician and Technical Manager during holiday periods.

·   Liaise effectively with Production, Procurement, Planning, and Maintenance to maintain food safety and quality standards.

Job Description

The Assistant Technical Manager will report to the Watergate Technical Manager and ultimately to the Executive Director. In consultation with the Technical Manager, this role will be responsible for the technical and staging requirements of all the performance areas within the building.

Main Duties include but are not limited to:

· Ensuring that all visiting companies are made aware of all practicalities and possibilities involved in staging a show in the Watergate Theatre.

· Ensuring that all visiting companies work within backstage health, safety and fire regulations.

· Acting as duty technician during performances as appropriate, ensuring the smooth running of the show by sorting any technical problems backstage or front of house.

· Assisting in fit-ups as required, including overseeing or undertaking plotting of shows as appropriate.

· Operating the shows as required by the Technical Manager.

· Ensuring companies follow standard procedures at the start of a show.

· To provide the Watergate Theatre's Health and Safety Statement on request and request production Company's Health and Safety Statement or Risk Assessment Statements as necessary.

Candidate Specification

Lighting:

· Knowledge of Strand and ETC lighting software amongst others, and possess a good working knowledge of fundamental electrical practice and theory.

· Ability to interpret and follow a lighting plan.

Sound & Sound Engineering:

· Ability to set up and run sound based events. Ability to fault find, solder and maintain audio equipment.

Ability to interpret a sound plot/stage layout and work competently with the incoming show & engineers.

· Familiarity with digital and analogue console setups.

· Staging and carpentry:

· A fundamental knowledge of basic set construction and woodwork skills.

· Ability to erect scenery and fly staging pieces.

· AV and projection:

· Working knowledge of projection to include AV set ups.

· Understanding of playback software e.g. Q-Lab

· Understanding of Aspect Ratios, Lens sizing & cabling requirements.

IT skills:

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, Vector Works, AutoCAD or similar.

· An understanding of networking protocols.

· Use of both PC (windows 8-10) and Mac OSX operating systems.

· Health & Safety:

Terms and Conditions

This contract is for 40 hours per week across a 7-day call.

Working hours vary according to venue programme across each season.

Any overtime incurred is managed via a TOIL (Time off in lieu) system.

The term of the contract will be for one year with a 6-month probationary period.

Salary starting from €30,000, commensurate with experience.

Twenty (20) days holidays per annum pro rata.

Fortnightly pay via bank transfer.

· Conducting site risk assessments as guided.

· Ad hoc duties as requested by Line Manager

Experience and Knowledge:

  • A third-level degree in a food-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in food safety within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, legislation, and compliance with EU & UK regulations.
  • Experience participating in third party audits such as BRCGS, and customer audits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and an acute attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €50,000.00 per year
