Technical Development and Participation Manage
ron a full-time permanent basis to join the Associations Senior Leadership team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical, participation, retention and games related strategies of the Association, driving growth, engagement, retention and improving standards across the technical and games aspects of the Associations work.

The Technical Development And Participation Manager Will Report To The CEO/ ArdStirthir, And Will Lead a Large And Diverse Staff Team In The Development Function Of The Association, With Responsibility For Developing And Implementing Strategy In The Following Areas

Principal duties and responsibilities

Technical development

  • Lead and design the ongoing development and review of technical development,growthand participation strategies of the Camogie Association
  • Build and support the capacity of the Associations Units and of volunteers at all levels to support the roll out of national technical and participation strategies
  • Ensure,overseeand support the recruitment, training and education of coaches,refereesand umpires
  • Support Units to observe their obligations to use accredited coaches and referees

Participation & retention

  • Ensure the delivery of innovative strategies,programmesand special projects to drive growth,participationand player retention across the range of ages and playing levels within the sport
  • Collaborating and supporting Camogie Association partners and sponsors in the activation of participation and growth programmes and initiatives

Research

  • Ensure,overseeand support the growth, development and roll out of the Camogie Association research strategy
  • Stay informed of andadvisethe Association of technical development and participation research and development in sport including innovations and developments relevant to the female athlete
  • Strengthen the Associations capacity and knowledge of technical analysis of Camogie and advise on and initiate work to promote greater use of this at all levels

Games development

  • Build and support capacity within the Associations Units and amongst volunteers to provide age-appropriate and meaningful games programmes for players on an annual/seasonal basis
  • Monitor trends of similar sporting bodies and plan for future developments
  • Conduct research and produce briefings,reportsand analysis on a variety of relevant areas and topics,sports analysis, market intelligence, industry developments,sectorand practice development as well as trends, using internal and external resources

People management

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of sports professionals in the areas of technical development, participation and retention. Direct reports include - the national Co-ordinators of coach education and development, referee education and development, participation and retention, youth development, club and education support, player welfare and inclusion and the provincial participation and growth coordinators
  • Support and manage reporting staff in their roles in planning, budgeting and delivery of their workplans.
  • Contribute to senior management planning and decision-making

Strategic planning and implementation

  • Develop and deliver annual participation and development work plans in line with National Development Planobjectivesand the communication strategy
  • Oversight and monitoring of National Development reporting framework, including monthly,quarterlyand annual reports

Finance and budgeting

  • Participateas a key manager in the overall financial planning and budgeting of the Association including the priorities of technical development and participation
  • Identifypotential funding opportunities and completion of funding applications
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning amongteam, ensuring compliance with financial procedures
  • Ensure,overseeand support the development, roll out and review of the Camogie Association Player Charter

Partnership working

  • Development and nurturing of strong relationships with commercial partners, sponsors,agenciesand stakeholders (existing & future)
  • Liaisewithand support Gaelicgames working groups and committees
  • Participate as a member of the Implementation Scheme Group Intercounty Funding
  • Develop and promote good interpersonal relationships internally and with other sportingorganisationsin the promotion of the game of Camogie
  • Develop andimplementsCollaborative projects ensure thatCamogieAssociationobjectivesare communicated and incorporated

Supporting and building capacity of volunteers

  • Liaisewithand advise ArdChomhairleand its Sub Committees on technical development and participation strategies
  • Support and develop the work of Various Committees and volunteers

General

  • Represent Camogie at internal and external /events to raise the Associations profile
  • Liaise with all external contractors whererequiredon various initiatives,eventsand resource publications
  • Undertake any other duties asrequired,commensuratewith the role, and as directed by the ArdStirthir

Required Criteria

  • A third level degree relevant to sports science, education or other relevant area
  • Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and guiding staff, through continuous development, towards strategic outcomes and objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience of the fundamental requirements associated with the technical development of sport from grassroots to elite/intercounty levels
  • Detailed knowledge of player, coach and referee development pathways in sport
  • Ability to define and develop a technical strategy
  • Demonstratable experience of preparing budgets and reporting financial and operational performance against targets

The Technical Services Process Development Scientist will act as a SME for the development of drug product formulations and of production processes. The role holder will report to the Technical Services Manager and will provide support in achieving company goals with a specific focus on responsibilities related to the Technical Services function of developing production processes from laboratory to commercial scale. The role holder will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the Technical Services team, as well as business development/commercial value streams to achieve goals
Key areas of responsibility (include but not limited to):

  • Foster innovative thinking within the Technical Services function and to develop formulations and production processes in a timely fashion according to stakeholder expectations.
  • Identifying, assessing, recommending and implementing process controls to ensure production of finished product that will meet patient needs, during initial development up and batch scale up.
  • Execute and/or oversee the design and development of production processes that are built on sound scientific, regulatory, Quality by Design (QbD), process validation and product development principles.
  • Assist in the improvement of existing drug product formulations and production processes within the organisation by retrospective application of sound scientific, regulatory, QbD, process validation, and product development principles.
  • Champion the use of QbD and scientific thinking in developing innovative drug product formulations and production processes while maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of formulations development disciplines through research and scientific literature.
  • Identifying, assessing, recommending and implementing internal and external opportunities to broaden Pinewood Healthcare's technical/scientific capability.
  • Work to create an excellence/SME culture within that is focused on innovation, lean and robust formulation development, as well as continuous improvement.
  • Where required, represent the Technical Services team in all relevant meetings, for example product pipeline steering committee meetings.
  • Oversight of relevant development manufacture from pilot to commercial scale in production.
  • Provide process transfer support for technical transfers.
  • To ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGxP, SOPs, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate and as designated by the Technical Services Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • BSc in Science or Engineering or related discipline, post graduate qualification highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years' proven experience in a process or formulation development environment which significant experience in studies that include drug and material characterisation and selection.
  • SME level knowledge of QbD and pharmaceutical development processes.
  • Knowledge of unit processing and scaling manufacture from pilot to commercial scale.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in project management and technical leadership of complex product/process developments, at least two years is highly desirable.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work in a dedicated data reporting and analytics team building a world-class data platform to produce data-driven insights for Transact Campus and our clients
  • Analyze, interpret and orchestrate complex data across disparate sources comprising unstructured, semi-structured and structured datasets in streaming and batch modes
  • Design and develop real-time data pipelines using the latest Databricks and Delta Lake Azure cloud technologies
  • Collaborate with data consumers (reporting, analysis, or data science) to provide metrics that meet their needs
  • Contribute to standards for data producers streaming data into the Lakehouse
  • Test commercial software products using both manual and automated testing processes
  • Support the application lifecycle during QA, UAT, and post-release phases
  • Comply with and contribute to consistent development guidelines (coding, change control, build, versioning)
  • Participate in peer code reviews

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field OR equivalent related work experience – preferably with a focus on Data Analytics
  • 5+ years of experience in software enterprise-level Data Engineering
  • Expertise in big data workloads
  • Experience with data lakes and scale-out processing
  • Relational database design and best practices
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing Spark data pipelines
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Understanding of cloud-based big data workloads
  • Experience with ETL/ELT patterns, preferably using Databricks jobs
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Experience with data lakes (HDFS, Azure Data Lake or AWS S3)
  • Experience with source code management systems such as Git/TFS/SVN
  • Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
  • Ability to present ideas and insights to business stakeholders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
