The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years' experience in service and maintenance within either the electrical or security industry (or both). Experience with lighting control systems or security technologies (Electrical, Fire Alarm, access control, intruder alarms) is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Perform startup activity with limited support from HQ.

- Actively respond to tool issues by communicating with HQ engineers and participate in escalation conference calls.

- Experience with scanning electron microscopes, SEMs, preferred but not a requirement.

Field-based across Ireland, Europe and the Middle East with travel from our Dublin base as required.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Site Services Manager, Field Service Engineers will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of Low Voltage (LV) switchgear and associated control equipment at customer sites throughout Ireland, Europe and the Middle East. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient commissioning and service support to customers.
The position requires flexibility to travel extensively, sometimes at short notice and during weekends, and to work extended hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
- Carry out the installation, testing, and commissioning of LV switchgear panels, Power Distribution Centres (PDCs), and control assemblies in accordance with company standards and client specifications.
- Perform pre-commissioning inspections and system functional tests to verify electrical integrity and operational performance.
- Fault find and problem solve issues during commissioning, providing clear feedback and solutions to the engineering and project teams.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant standards and internal quality and safety procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete all site documentation using the Site Services Management System (SSMS), including commissioning reports, permits, site attendance logs, and inspection records.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Report all quality issues, non-conformances, and faults through the SSMS to ensure continuous improvement.
- Attend on-site meetings and whiteboard briefings, communicating effectively with project managers, clients, and other contractors.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with on-site Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture on-site, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments when conditions change or unexpected hazards arise.
Teamwork & Leadership
- Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide mentoring and support to newly recruited engineers and apprentices.

Other Duties
