The role
This is a senior role within the Technology and Innovation group, where you will:
- Lead on challenging and innovative technology law projects for a variety of clients;
- Work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary specialist teams (including Matheson's Digital Economy Group) on high value and business critical client projects;
- Manage junior and associate solicitors on client advisory matters across the full range of technology, digital services and privacy issues;
- Participate in a variety of business development opportunities including foreign client relationship visits and representing Matheson at international conferences as well as the possibility of secondment to our London and Californian offices;
- Help drive thought leadership in technology law through the Matheson client knowledge programme; and
Advise on the legal issues across:
- Large scale technology and commercial contract drafting and negotiations;
- Data protection, data privacy and data governance;
- Artificial intelligence;
- Cyber security and operational resilience;
- The digital single market including DMA and DSA compliance, content regulation for online platforms and intermediary industries, e-commerce and online business practices for gatekeepers, platforms and businesses;
- Transactional and advisory intellectual property projects.

What does this role offer:
By combining tax technical expertise with technology and systems improvement opportunities, you will drive positive tax ground-breaking objectives and deliver a more efficient tax function for our clients. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting go to market business development initiatives while continuing to research and integrate best in class emerging technologies.
- Interpretation and documentation of client's tax and business requirements to support the future state systems design ambition and appropriate mix of tax technology solutions.
- Working with project delivery teams in designing, building and integrating tax technology enabled solutions for clients.
- Building strong relationships and working across key client stakeholder groups (transfer pricing, corporate tax, indirect tax, finance, IT etc.) as well as working with PwC specialists internally and across PwC's global network.
- Motivating more junior team members to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.
About you – Key skills and competencies:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a tax or tax technology related role, ideally gained in a top tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting or legal environment.
- Experience in tax or tax technology consultancy related roles working with tax related solutions in ERP systems and/or tax engines (SAP, Oracle, MSFT Dynamics, OneSource, Vertex or other).
- Certification or extensive experience in agile technology and analytic solutions preferable (MS VBA, SQL, MS Power Apps, Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath).
- Deep technical and project management capabilities from leading and delivering large and sophisticated tax transformation projects.
- Experience with a Big 4 firm, large ERP/consulting organisation multinational company with tax related experience preferable.
- Strong academic record (ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification preferable).

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking technology professional to join this team as a technology architect to support the delivery of RTÉ's New Direction Strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Architecture, you will work closely with key stakeholders across RTÉ to ensure that our technical platforms and solutions are fit for the future and aligned with evolving audience needs. You will help shape the architecture of RTÉ's media workflows, spanning content creation, production, post-production, distribution, and broadcast transmission.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Develop and maintain technology strategies and multi-year roadmaps aligned with RTÉ's business objectives and content delivery needs
- Ensure that technology choices support scalable, reliable, and cost-effective broadcast and digital services
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, design standards, and governance frameworks
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in broadcast, production, streaming, and digital media technologies
- Identify opportunities for innovation and advise on new media workflows, IP-based production, and hybrid broadcast architectures

About you:
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant technology role. Experience of technology in the media and entertainment industry an advantage
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technology discipline is an added advantage
- Experience with the design, procurement and implementation of complex technology systems across the full system lifecycle
- Strong collaboration, communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent presentation skills and a proven ability to communicate complex and technical topics to non-technical stakeholders

The Ireland-based GC is now keen to hire an experienced Technology Counsel to join their EMEA Legal team for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will work with high-level enterprise clients and contribute directly to the company's legal and compliance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS agreements across the EMEA region to facilitate business objectives.
- Provide strategic legal guidance during the product development lifecycle, with a focus on advising on data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and interpret global and regional regulatory trends, ensuring proactive adherence to evolving legal requirements, particularly in AI, privacy, and security.
